• Renault - damage to me van 3 May 2008 (Forum)
  On the 29th of last month I took my Renault trafic (based) 2.5 diesel motorhome to local garage for MOT in the process they damaged it -to which they admitted liability- however they subsequently failed van on emissions and brake stop light.

  My partners has a 1999 renault laguna and she is having problems selecting reverse gear its seems to have got to the point where she needs to turn the engine off then select reverse gear and re start the engine to get into it, any suggestions would much be appreciated.

  my Renault Megane 1.6 rt cooling system temperature soon gets to the halfway mark on the dial ( it never used to reach this level even on a hot summers day) and maintains this level only getting hotter when standing in traffic or eg pulling up hill or cools down when cruising downhill or when fan kicks in. also heater not noticeably working.

  Hi, New to the forum, although been looking at the site for quite a while, so hope this is the right place to ask this question. My girlfriend has a 94 Renault Clio which the full beams have packed up on. When the lights are off the flashers still work. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. Where should I be looking? The staulk does not seem to click on, could it be the switch or is just the bulbs?

  Can anyone give me advice on a Renault Scenic cam belt change. It?s a 1.9 turbo diesel. Got the right engine mount off and the engine on a jack and I've undone the belt cover but there?s no room to get the cover out. Tried levering the engine away from the bulkhead with a gurt bar but still can?

  Hi my mates renault 5 has been leaking oil from the aperture at the top of the flywheel and it has been thrown against the radiator. When we checked the level it was 3 inches above maximum! He insisted that he had not put any oil in for 12 months,however we drained it and noticed it was very thin, almost water like (but not creamy).

  Hi I?ve got a Renault Clio N reg petrol I have 1 key with remote, but remote doesn?t work. As it won?t work I can?t turn off the immobiliser/alarm, so now I can?t start the car. Does anyone know how to disable it, or where I might find the info to get around this problem?

  we have an oldish renault 5 gts . its a 1.4cc engine , when accelerating it sounds like it has no exhaust , on tick over very quiet (well a bit rattly tappets). I have checked the exhaust and that seems fine , could it be the baffles in the silencers or is there a common problem on these ?

  Does anyone know how to get the instrument panel out of a 1994 Renault 21 Savannah? I need to replace some of the warning lights & can't remove the instrument panel shroud. I've got to the bit where Mr. Haynes says to remove the 4 screws and ease the shroud out. It won't ease out and seems to be rigidly fixed into the fascia at the bottom.

  Can anyone help me out ? I've got a renault laguna 2.0 rt on a 95 plate, The problem i have is with the heated rear windscreen. when i turn the demister on nothing happens. I've put a circuit tester on the heater and theres 12.3 volts running through it so theres plenty of power there.

  Hi, I had an awful experience with a Renault when the clutch required replacing. The Renault authorised garage had to remove the entire engine in order to replace the clutch costing big money. I am now looking at buying either a 206 GLX (98s) or Saxo VTR or VTS (98s).
