  Hello Wise People, I have been reading a ton of reviews and I am struggling to get to the bottom of which car will be best for me. I am a Mature student and I need to buy a car that will last me for as long as possible and ideally be reliable. I will be covering be covering 8k miles a year (guess) and I know that Diesel is not cost effective for these distances, but I wonder if this is offset by the engine lasting longer?

  Warranty does indeed not cover such additional work, but my thoughts are that maybe since I've had the car less than 3 months sale of goods act etc may come into play regarding recompense from the supplying dealer for the additional cost or indeed there may be ways of getting the warranty to pay out more.
