Ford Probe Cooling fan 8 Jul 2003 (Forum)
I need to replace the electric motor for the engine cooling fan on a L reg 2 litre Ford Probe. Does anyone know if any other Mazdas or Fords use the same motor, a new one being over £300? The motor that I have removed is made by Siemens and has the codes "FTS 1017Q", "33332" and "FS15-150 Canada" on it. I'm sure breakers will not charge as much for a "Mazda" fan as they will for a "Ford Probe" fan. -
Mondeo v Passat v Vectra 12 Apr 2003 (Forum)
The wife is likely to take a job where the Company Car would have to be either a Passat, Vectra or Mondeo and very likely of the diesel persuasion. The one she'd prefer is the Mazda 6.... which is slightly incompatible with the list!! (but she'll be 'discussing' this in an attempt to change things) Assuming the Mazda remains out of reach what are the opinions/experiences you have of these cars. -
Contenders vs Hyundai Santa Fe 12 Feb 2003 (Forum)
I am thinking of buying a Hyundai 2.4 Santa Fe, I've looked at various options but, apart from the excellent Mazda Tribute, I haven't found a real alternative for less than £17,000. Have I missed something ? What is the best SUV/4 by 4 for that sort of prices according to you, trouble is I've read some conflicting opinions on the santa fe, none on the Mazda Tribute (though misteriously unknown car in the UK as it seems, why ?) -
Mazda 5 - Mazda 5 - 2008 - D I E S E L ! losing power 23 Oct 2019 (Forum)
I checked all the likely candidates for lost power such as boost pipes etc but found nothing untoward. A bit of digging on line returned a-lot of horror stories about the Mazda MZR-CD RF Turbo engine but I tried to stay upbeat and started leaning towards an SCV issue......which is kind of what I am asking. In your opinion, would a faulty/failing SCV be a likely candidate in the following scenario: - intermittent lost power (wife advised it almost felt like there was no boost) - intermittent juddering (wife advised it was like a petrol car off a cylinder) - no engine light or fault code ( i checked with 2 separate systems) I have also learnt that the EGR could be a factor so I am hoping to strip that tonight and clean out as much as I can, a cursory glance last night showed that it was not blocked though...built up, yes...but not blocked. -

Mazda - Main dealer taking the michael? 25 Dec 2009 (Forum)
I have made no contact with the dealer yet but what with Christmas fast approaching, will contact him tomorrow. For info, the purchase was a proper retail sale, around book price with a full Mazda warranty. Have just had another look at the new MOT, the issuing station was some 80 miles away....why? The Mazda dealer is well within the M25 so no shortage of MOT stations nearby. Any thoughts on this? -

Mazda 6 - Diesel Particulate Filter Issues [Mazda 6] 4 Sep 2015 (Forum)
As a consequence he’s offered me his 2006 Mazda 6 TS 2.0 Estate. It’s done around 110k miles, but otherwise seems pretty sound (fully serviced, and has never failed an MOT). He’s asking for £1,200 which seems pretty reasonable to me. -
