  Just p/xed passat 1.9TDI for Audi A6 1.9TDI. Passat on vw 505.01 oil and have 5l of halfords finest spare. If necessary can this be used to top up A6 which is on vw 506.01 longlife oil? Any help appreciated!

  Late but great entry the new Audi R8 advert. A visually stunning car. Clearly a technical marvel and what do we get? A silly trilling little cod Irish ditty and we don't get to see the whole car until a few seconds from the end.

  im interested in audi a4 avants. I like the style and would go for a diesel. Just wondered which one to look for. I would have to go for an older model (<£4k) and have seen a nice looking 2.5tdi quatro auto but it looks a bit heavy on the gas.

  hi looking at buying an audi a4 1.8t with lpg conversion showing 117k on the clock. the price is more or less about right, but i need to keep the car at least 3 years and as such will the engine run to 200k trouble free aslong as it is regularly serviced?

  My Audi A6 2.5 TDI will start each morning but after a run and 3 hours or so standing it takes 10 or more turns to fire. The glowplugs are fine so it is probably some engine management sensor. My garage has not been able to pinpoint the problem.

  when selecting first gear in my audi it doesnt always engage, i have to take foot off clutch then 2nd time it normally goes into first gear. is this a clutch or gearbox problem? apart fro this i have no other problems with selecting gears the car has done 130k miles by the way.

  I am miffed that the tyres on my S3 Audi Quattro are almost at the limit of legal tread depth after just 9000 miles from new in fourteen months. The rear end is worse than the front. Running on 225/45 R17 91Y Bridgestone Potenza RE 040. Definitely not happy to replace with these.

  Changed the front pads & discs on my late Audi 100 yesterday, and was astonished by the variation in wear. IIRC, new 10mm; replace at 2mm. Remaining material: Left inside 1mm Left outside 3mm Right inside 3mm Right outisde 5mm What should I deduce from this?

  When the engine is cool it idles perfectly at between 750-800rpm. Car has about 42K miles on the clock. I've been back to the garage several times and even Audi France took control of the calculator 'at distance' but have so far been unable to improve things. They apparently had trouble getting into the calculator for some reason. The garage even told me "there is no solution" but I don't believe that and I'm concerned that I am somehow damaging the car by using it like this.

  I have a brand new audi a6 Tdi Ultra and the oil servicing message presented itself at 9000 miles. I booked in to the local Audi dealers for an interim service. When I arrived they checked out the car and said it doesn't need it's first oil change until 18k ish.

  I have an Audi A4 2.0 tdi 58 plate (2008) standard uk spec. My engine management light came on and I've been told the code means I need a new G450 DPF Sensor. I'll have this fitted later in the week but what I would like to know is will the DPF just continue to get clogged up if I continue driving or will the normal burn off still occur if I am doing only motorway miles at high speed?

  Hi My v6 2005 a4 2.5tdi is vibrating on idle and it's really frustrating . I took it to an audi dealer and they plugged it in and said there wasn't a fault but something wasn't right but could take 5 hours to find at £125 an hour so thought I'd try getting some help on here to tell my local garage what to do?

  I reversed back to let another car get round a corner and the car I hit chose this moment to pull out behind me. The end result - a nice big dent in the other cars wing (an audi A6 I think) and some mindor damage to fixings on my bumper (I'll probably live with these). Anyway, we've agreed to sort it out between ourselves and He's gone off to get a quote. I'm not going to bother getting mine fixed, I should be able to snap it back into place.
