  My corsa b broke down and i have been told it's going to cost too much for what the car is worth because head gasket is flooded and gone. I am desperate for a car and have found a renault clio 2002, it has had a snapped timing belt and head gasket replaced. Is it still worth purchasing, any help would be gratefully received.

  My garage tells me that turbo failure is a common problem with this car, and that I should write to Renault to try and get some compensation. I'd like to provide evidence in this letter that this a common problem, and of it being a probable design fault. Can anyone help me with building my case? Thanks Garrett

  I have a 2003 renault clio. Recently my passenger door has started playing up, it doesn't seem to open from the outside when I unlock the car, I have to go inside the car and open it from there, it can then be opened from the outside until I lock the car again.

  Been to look at a Scenic 1.9 DCi today, and the car is not bad for a Renault, however, I noticed a long scratch on the passenger rear door about 15-18 inches long which doesn't to have appeared to be too deep, but the place that is selling the car has tried to touch it up with a paint pen.

  Hi,my neighbour has got  a 2001/2 Renault laguna.It has the trip computer etc and the central display in between the clocks. Some how he has managed to change the odometer into KM's instead of Miles,does someone know how to change it back.

  i bought this renault laguna 1.8 dynamique. and i love it, it's beautiful to drive and look at but now it has developed this bad idle and engine stalling problem. has anybody else experienced this and how do you fix it, is it injectors, coils or something worse :( any suggestions other than selling it would be appreciated.

  just got a renault megane 1.6 rt sport alize..when i close the drivers door there seems to be a little bang coming from the passenger side,ive had the bonnet up and closed the drivers door and it seems to be coming from the passenger side. when im driving it theres no noise whatsoever...anybody else with a megane have this noise?

  my old faithful renault espace 2.1 diesel, is misfiring when I start it from cold. Blue smoke from exhaust but not oil smoke. No problem through the summer months but as soon as the temperature drops or it's damp the problem starts.

  Hi. I have a renault laguna 1.8 16v Dynamique 2002, hatchback and has a rattling sound when idling (like a diesel car). i think that this is probably how they sound, i just bought the car from a local dealer and would not like to think there is a problem already.

  Hi there, I need to replace my glow plugs on my Renault Laguna 1.9 DCI 2001 Is this easy to do is there anything i must be careful of when doing this? Are they easy to get at - i have done some servicing on other cars but havent yet really got my hands dirty on this.

  Hallo Twingo 1.2L (Renault R4 engine) 1993 The car has done only 40,000 miles. It is in mint condition. The engine works perfectly well, but recently acidy fumes started to come from around the air filter, but not (!) from the exhaust.

  hi all can anybody help with my problem i have a renault laguna w reg the key fob only works when it wants to i have put new batteries in but still the same i have also tried the spare fob but still the same it must be on the car side thats the problem but i have not got a clue has anybody got any ideas or had this problem many thanks..

  Hi all, Has anybody heard about this new engine 1.2 Turbo petrol engine from Renault, which will used in the Clio & possibly the new Twingo? A salesman told me the other day it has the power of the 1.6, the torque of the 1.4 but with the economy of the 1.2 engine! Now that sounds like a really good engine very impressive, similar technology to VAG's 1.4 turbo, but will the long-term reliability suffer packing in around 100 bhp in a 1.2 engine?

  Had two of these replaced under warranty, but now I am on my own and I think it is a diabolical liberty that a Renault dealer wants £100.00. + the dreaded to provide a new key. The failed key still works the immobiliser. Do I have any other choices?? Happy new year to all........regards..............MD

  I have purchased a '95 Renault Clio 12.RL for my son. The heater / blower works fine in all areas apart from the front windscreen. When the switch is turned to windscreen, the blower is working except nothing is coming out of the front vents.

  It looks like the head gasket or something related to this has failed, as I have water mixing with the oil and the coolant level keeps dropping. As this is such a young car with low milage does anyone know if I have a case against renault, because i don't know whether its a knackered gasket or a porous or cracked head? Has anyone else experienced this problem? All help appreciated

  Hi, I have a 1995 renault Laguna 2.0 on a 'M' reg The problem i have with it is that it has developed a fault which has got me puzzled. The car is refusing to start at the moment off the key. When i key the ignition the service light stays lite for about 5-10 secs and then goes out.

  Hoping someone can give advice on my renault espace 2.2 td - have been advised the engine needs complete replacement after the water pump has gone and woodruff key missing from keyway on cam?? obviously new engine costs fortune - not sure whether this is viable for age of car. have also been told that maybe other types of engines can be fitted (cheaper alternatives). the cheapest quote i have had is £1600 for a recon. thanks
