  Hi Does anyone know who makes the TD4 engine in the new freelanders. Was having a debate at work as someone has just bought one and they were told it was a BMW unit....I thought it was a Rover L series...Are we both wrong??/

  I know that most Rovers use BMW and Honda bits but does anybody know which parts City Rovers use? A car supermarket is selling them off at half-price and I was THINKING of getting one if the spares availability is OK.

  Does anyone know if BMW business radio can be upgraded easily. The dealer does a HarmanKardon job but at £1000 is not an option. Live in SW london, but can travel (!) Don't want to spend a fortune and want to keep the factory fitted head unit and steering wheel controls

  Hi I drove a BMW 3 series today and the ride felt very hard. The salesman said that run flats make no difference to the ride quality as they now have been improved greatly. Does anyone have any comments to make on this?

  Why are there such large discrepancies amongst car valuation guides? Car is 1998 S BMW 750iL with 70k. Parkers Private - £10,275 Whatcar Private - £13,291 A discrepancy of £3,016. That's a lot of cash...Any recommendations about which guide is closest to the TRUE MARKET VALUE?

  Spotted a silver Merc C Class unmarked police car on M8 today in Lanarkshire, reg SA02GBY. Also, there is a silver BMW 3 Series unmarked doing the Edinburgh side of the M8. Just for your info, not sure if this belongs in the speeding thread?

  I have noticed that diesel cars, when accelerating hard, often emit vast quantities of black smoke. Recently a BMW 320D and a Rover 220D (both fairly new) did this in the same line of traffic. Is this normal or were these vehicles in need of adjustment? David Hopkinson
