Trading in a New Car 22 Oct 2017 (Forum)
Bought a year old car last year, that had covered 9,000 miles. The previous owner was a lady who traded it in after only owning it for just over eleven months. Why would anyone keep a car for just 11 months, must have lost a fortune? -
If only my garage was big enough ........ 6 Jan 2010 (Forum)
....... to enable me to wash my car inside it. I can't rember that last time I washed my car and it's covered in salt. Until the weather gets better I'll just have to rely on my dehumidifier drying the car and slowing down the rate of corrosion. -
tyre speed ratings 11 Feb 2005 (Forum)
I feel sure that this topic must have been covered at some earlier point, but,if tyres with a speed rating different to that specified in the cars handbook are fitted, what would be the outcome if that car was involved in an accident? This is just a hypothetical question following a general chat with a mate - honest! -
Peugeot 308 - HPI Check Wrong, Car Turned out to be CAT D 9 Sep 2017 (Forum)
Hello there, So I am wondering what rights I have, and/or who to go after for compensation, given the following situation: I bought a car in April 2015, and performed a full HPI check with all the added extras you need to do for the full cover. I performed the check before buying the car, and it passed completely, nothing amiss. Fast forward to August this year and I want to sell the car. -
Mini one 1.4 auto - Engine oil 26 Mar 2013 (Forum)
My Vauxhall Astra 1.9 CDTi auto ( also 2007 reg - 34000 miles on the clock) has not required an oil top up since its last oil service (about 6000 miles ago). My Astra covers about 500 miles every month around town with a motorway run every couple of weeks. It has a full service history. I know nothing about how cars work (and have very little interest in finding out!!!). -

Budget is £600 to £800 and at the most the car will be covering 8,000 miles a year, looking for something Vauxhall Corsa or Astra size and low insurance groups Any suggestions please -
Rover Warranty 19 Apr 2005 (Forum)
The RAC have offered MG-Rover owners their 5 star cover at heavily discounted rates (I'll find the details and post later). With the tens of thousands of cars on the road, I think there is a lot of scaremongering over parts. -
Peugeot 208 - £2K courtesy car bill after uninsured accident 16 Dec 2019 (Forum)
Hi I know this has been covered here to some extent already but bear with me! My Brother in Law was hit by an uninsured driver who was also at fault (in addition to not having insurance!) and his car was written off. My B in L wasn't aware of the well-known credit hire courtesy car 'scam' that claims management companies operate and signed the agreement. -
