Is it still under warranty?

I recently bought a one year old Ford Kuga from a Renault dealership in Aberdeen.

The car was originally sourced from a Ford garage in Preston which was within the same dealership group.(Evans Halshwaw).

It had been RAC checked for the "Ford Direct" scheme and has the required hologram sticker on the windscreen. After a 30 minute wait on the phone, I eventually got through to Ford to try to find out if the car was officially part of the "Ford Direct" scheme as it was bought from a Renault dealer. They said no.

Now I am trying to find out - am I still covered by Ford Dealer warranty for the next 2 years? I wasnt given any kind of warranty on buying the car from Renault, but I know Ford Kugas come with 1 year Ford warranty and 2 years dealer warranty. Does the dealer warranty still apply if you buy from a none Ford Dealership?

It might have been a Ford Direct reject for some reason, rejected after it had undergone the Ford Direct treatment. I've had a few. Only way to find out if it's covered is to call the Ford Customer Care line.
