  • Reading news or likely to make it. 11 Jan 2008 (Forum)
I'd like to pass a message to the driver of a silver Audi A4 travelling north on the M6 past Stafford at 6.25 thismorning. There you were, pitch black sky, light mist doing about 80mph in the outside lane, nothing wrong with that except for all the interior lights on and your newspaper fully spread over the steering wheel, whilst you caught up with current events.

  • Does your RDS TA radio annoy you? 5 Dec 2005 (Forum)
Also whilst I'm having a rant - how about displaying the radio station name so I can decide to turn the TA straight off if it's out of my area? Or is it a case of operator error on my behalf??? Come on Audi - you should be better than this.... Cheers
  • Renault Laguna 2 Dynamique estate 5 Dec 2004 (Forum)
Perhaps the later models are better - or not? I would welcome any comments based on experience. At the moment I am inclined to hang on to the Audi diesel I have rather than spend more to buy problems. Any insghts welcome! Many thanks MGs
  • Autobahn verses motorway 16 Sep 2004 (Forum)
Firstly, the Germans are MUCH more disciplined when it comes to lane discipline and always always move over (and quickly too) for faster vehicles. This could be out of fright when a huge dark coloured Audi (they are always Audis) is approaching, headlights on, at over 220 Kph but I think its in their blood Secondly even on two lane sections the outside lane proceeds at 140-180- kph lorries being banned from that lane altogether.
  • £1000+ pcp ! 11 Mar 2022 (Forum)
Got chatting to a bloke this week with a lovely Audi A8 hybrid car. He told me how much he was paying on his PCP, £1020 a month for 48 months. I don’t know how much he put down as a upfront payment, but I was taken back by the monthly payment. Of course it’s his money, his choice, etc.
  • How times have changed 26 Sep 2020 (Forum)
A couple of weks ago I was looking out of a pub window at the two rows of cars in the car park. On the left were four Audis and one Skoda. On the right were three BMWs, one Yaris and one Focus. At least not an MPV nor SUV in sight. Not so many years ago the majority would have been Vauxhall, Ford, Austin, Morris and Rover.
  • Honest John's Motoring Agony Column 24-11-2018 Part 1 30 Nov 2018 (Forum)
Skoda turbo - isn't the dealer at fault for not originally replacing the turbo pipes or at least checking them for blockages the first time round? This is a known issue on other VAG products, eg Audi TT. Also, letting an engine run when stopped for fuel at a pump is not a good idea....

  • Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 1999 1.6 High Oil Consumption 9 Feb 2009 (Forum)
The local garage has had it on a rolling road but there's no sign of burning & absolutely no leaks. I've heard of a similar problem with an Audi A4 which was diagnosed as a porous cylinder head. What is this, and can it happen with the Focus engine?
  • She's finally using a drop... 11 Aug 2008 (Forum)
It's a 2002 1.8Tdci with about 80k on the clock. Don't think it will need a top-up before the next service and I realise VW/Audi owners will scoff at this level of consumption. It's just that when you're used to a properly engineered product that doesn't use any oil....
  • KIA Cee'd (2007 - 2010) - Kia Pro_cee'd 27 Mar 2008 (Forum)
Here are some images of it: http://www.kia-world.net/index.php/2007/11/23/kia-pro_ceed/ What do you think? Some people say it looks similar to Audi A3, but I find it quite different design when looking closely.
