• Renault 19 engine termperature 16 Sep 2003 (Forum)
  The temp gauge in my renault 19 is dodgy. Appears to be reading way too hot. When the car is warming up, initially the gauge behaves normally with the needle gradually moving upwards. But once it reaches a certain temp. (1/3 from the bottom of the gauge) it quickly shoots up into the red zone.

  I'm still a little concerned over the correct tension of belt, I've set it able to twist belt on longest run by approx. 45 degree, same as noted before removing the old belt. Haynes manual talks about Renault tool MOT1? Local dealer had no idea what I was talking about. Problem I have is slight whine at 1,000 rpm which disappears above and below this speed. Is belt to tight? Also per similar thread on Alternator recall, dealer offered FOC.

  I have a Renault 21 Turbo, phase 1 modle reg is 1988. I paid not much for it and have had a new head gasket fitted. It has a BBR conversion on a button to 240bhp. std 175. This was done in 1993. It goes sweetly and the turbo is strong - save for when I really put my foot down in 3rd, 4th or 5th.

  They then reopened selling Renaults after the closure of the other Renault dealer. The Roots dealer (by then Talbot) built new premises and changed to selling Lancias. Did not last long, he was jailed for killing someone near the showroom whilst driving under the influence.

  Morning all, Those amongst you with a keen memory may recall that around six months ago, I posted here about one of my company's lease Renault Scenic DCi-100s being so badly faulty that it was eventually replaced. Well, I've had the replacement car a good four months now (19,000 miles done), and yet again, I'm at the hands of the wonderfully competant Renault support staff.

  Hello, this is my first time posting here. I own a Renault Scenic Dynamique 2007 model and have had it for almost a year. I have recently experienced a loss of power and then the fuel injection warning light appeared right after. It eventually dissappeared and never reappeared by I feel the car still had no power especially going up hill.

  Is Nissan still a Japanese owned company? Clearly there is cooperation between many manufacturers. Nissan and Renault, for example. But is this as far as it goes with Nissan? Sorry if this subject has already been aired.
