  • Automatic Choke Problems (Fiesta) 23 Mar 2005 (Forum)
Dear All, I have a P Reg Ford Fiesta (1.3 EFi engine). It clearly has a problem with the automatic choke not opening properly since in the mornings, when cold, it runs like a dog, however once it's warmed up it's fine and drives very well indeed. Whilst the car starts OK, as soon as you put any stress on the engine it really dies, hardly accelerates until eventually enough fuel gets through and off she goes.

  • Small Automatic Diesel 4 or 5 door 10 Aug 2004 (Forum)
I would appreciate your informed opinion on which are the best small, ladies cars, with an automatic gearbox, a Diesel engine, Air Conditioning and ease of entry and with a softish ride. I find that many Japanese cars (like the Jazz) ride like bricks. recommend. Why oh why, when the roads are so bad do the manufactures assume that we all have German bottoms and wish to corner on the door handles?
  • Ford Explorer automatic gearbox fault 31 Jul 2004 (Forum)
A Ford Explorer, that is may be 10 or so years old, has just had it's faulty automatic gearbox replaced with a brand new one. On a test drive it worked fine until the box got warmed up and then it stayed in drive and had to be braked to a halt juddering. Next day, it did the same again.
  • Automatic gearbox (cvt , easytronic) 12 May 2004 (Forum)
I'd like your advice about the durability and reliability of the cvt or easytronic gearbox. I want to buy an automatic supermini and my favorit ones are the Honda Jazz CVT and Opel Corsa 1.4 Easytronic. Does anyone know how many km can I expect them (the gearboxes) and especially the cvt to work properly? Does they need any special maintenance?

  • 2007 Honda CR-V 4 Dec 2006 (Forum)
Quoting another place "Top dollar in the new range is the £28,075 being asked for the 2.2 i-CTDi EX with automatic transmission, Advanced Safety Pack, 19" alloy wheels and metallic paint." Can I assume they've got it wrong, and that Honda haven't developed a diesel automatic?
