Mini round about offence. 3 Feb 2006 (Forum)
A colleague was stopped by a police car for touching his ROS wheel on a small domed white marked mini roundabout and received a fixed £30 fine. Then today I hear that a guy was procesuted for sticking two fingers up a mobile speed camera van although he was not speeding. Are the police loosing the plot or what. -

Mini One convertible 2011 1.6 petrol - Which auto box? 28 Jun 2024 (Forum)
There seems to be a conspiracy to conceal information concerning which Mini has which auto box. I have been trying to find out whether a 2011 Mini One Convertible (1.6 petrol) has the CVT transmission which was so bad that it gave rise to legal action by owners. I've identified a car I might be interested in, but my interest would cease if it had the problematic auto box. -

Mini 25 6 Jun 2001 (Forum)
I have aquired a 1984 Mini "25" from a customer. It has failed the MOT and is beyond economic repair. It has a full history, i.e. every penny ever spent, and I was going to break it for the engine etc. However I have discovered that it's a bit of a rare beast, 1 of 3500 so being an appreciator of the classic car and motoring heritage I would rather see it go to an enthusiast for either restoration or the parts being put to good use to restore another "25".Where do I go, I have tried several Mini sites but they are all dealer run or want money to advertise with them. -
Mini - Lost keys, A very helpful dealer 10 Jul 2023 (Forum)
Out walking the dog this morning, found a Mini Keyfob for keyless entry. Took it to the dealer, Inchcape in Colchester, who scanned it, and identified their customer, and called them to let them know the keys had been found, and as it was in the next streer, very close to me, I offered to drop them in. -
MINI One - Engine management light 24 May 2021 (Forum)
Hello. Looking to buy a mini one with EML on. Seller tells me it was diagnosed as camshaft sensor. It was replaced and car runs fine but light still on.he says it was not cancelled. Would replacing the sensor not self cance the light if that was the genuine fault or would the light need to be extinguished? -
MINI Cooper D - Disable Pedestrian Protection System 7 Jan 2019 (Forum)
The warning light has come on yet again and I don't want to keep paying £40 to have it reset. (£140 if I went to BMW Mini!) Does anyone know how the system can be disabled or removed so that warning light disappears for good? -
cooper 2007 - mini cooper ignition problem 1 Feb 2014 (Forum)
I have a mini cooper which has the dreaded 'intermittent fault'. Sometimes I can get in and start it on first push of the button, another time the dashboard lights up as you'd expect and the engine fails to start. -
First car - Mini or Beetle? 17 Jun 2011 (Forum)
Adrian Flux recommended a 1972 Beetle for low insurance so we're now thinking about this or an old Mini. Which one is better as in reliability, cost of servicing and parts etc? My son has just spotted an old Hillman down the road for sale so is looking for quotes for that, bless. -

BMW Mini 06 model - CVT Transmission Problem - reving kangaroo 20-30mph 16 Jan 2015 (Forum)
Mini garages were booked up befor Xmas so I took it to a German car specialist he put it on his autologic diagnostics and came back with: DME 3 faults: 1787 gearbox ratio acurator open circuit, 1698 gearbox control unit - control error, 1656 EWS incorrect code Electrical transmission management - no communications This technician advised I had the EGS replaced Decided to wait and get opinion from Mini Dealer, they said it's very rare and highly unlikely for this module to fail and advised I have their recomended CVT specialist give me his opinion, which was similar so advised I first have an authorised mini garage wipe and re code the unit as a non mini diagnostic unit may not be compatable. -
MINI Cooper - MPG on a Mini Cooper 16 Dec 2011 (Forum)
I checked with another dealer who said the figure I get is typical for that car so this is clearly no secret to Mini dealers. I'm wondering what sort of position I could be in to pursue the matter against Mini/the dealership or if anyone has had success/issues with this before. I am extremely disappointed because I really like the car but I am of the view that this is borderline criminal! -
Mini Cooper S Vs Mondeo Ghia X TDCi!!! 12 Sep 2006 (Forum)
Reliable and comfy. However, whilst she is torn, she really wants the Mini. The only problems are the massive difference in price an the insurance costs. (She doesn't care about economy to an extent). The Mini is working out at a fair bit more than the Mondeo but assuming this all gets sorted, is there any reason why she shouldn't get this Mini? -
