Does anyone know what the mkII mini will be like? I saw on the car by car breakdown that there is a mkII coming in December?
how different will it be and what changes will there be to the engine?? or Is it just a face lift? I thought they already did that?
I have one order to get in September and I dont want to get it if there is a better one coming? help what do I do??

If it was anything like the original, the battery tray would be starting to rust through already so I'm all for improvements.

I think I read in Auto Express some weeks ago that it's going to be a very minor facelift - bumpers or something, plus a bit of a tech update.

The MINI with the minor facelift is already out with changes in build beginning in July so there won't be many about yet.
The main differences are new front/rear bumpers and new year lights. Some minor changes and new options for the inside too.
The real "new" new MINI with different engines is not available until 2006.

I thought that it was having just minor styling tweaks such as bumpers and air intakes, and the central speedo will go to make way for oil temp gauge (and another gauge of some sort) makes sense to me to have the speedo above the steering wheel (as was possible before if sat nav was fitted) might be out of sync with the original but stops your gf telling you to slow down as often.

good thats o.k then, i thought id just made an expensive mistake buying an old new mini!
The speedo still comes in the middle but you can get an extra called a chrono pack that gives some extra gadgety things so the speedo moves to teh normal place! also it will be my Bf telling me to slow down through clenched teeth as he hangs on for dear life! after i have run it in of course! I am V excited!
