  • Any - Daytime running lights 21 Apr 2011 (Forum)
I understood that all new cars registered from Feb 2011 must have daytime running lights but have noticed some 11 reg cars that dont seem to have them eg Honda crv Nissan Juke seen this morning plus others and wondered why this was.
  • Which pick-up? 15 Jun 2008 (Forum)
It will not do many miles of ordinary motoring. It seems that the best choices are a Mitsibushi L200, a Nissan Navara, or a Isuzu Rodeo. We have funds of approx. £8,000. Also what are the implications of the proposed new tax bandings on these vehicles?
  • I had to smile ..... 27 Jun 2006 (Forum)
Following an old Nissan Almera this morning, I noticed a sticker on the bumper which proclaimed 'WATCH OUT - for the idiot behind me'. Mmmm...I wondered, what sort of driver would put that on their car - then when they braked, I saw they only had one brake light working.
  • company cat tax & vans 12 Feb 2006 (Forum)
can someone tell me what exactly is a van, I'm thinking of getting landrover freelander commercials for my reps - would these count as commercial and so attract the £500 flat rate. also what about pick ups such as Mitsubishi's or nissan Navara's. Many Thanks Dominic
  • Primera anyone??? 11 Sep 2003 (Forum)
Thinking of looking at this vehicle as follows: W Reg, 27000 miles. Silver Metallic. Full dealer service history. 1 Owner. 23 month Nissan Warranty and Breakdown Cover.Aircon.PAS.ABS.Alarm.Central Locking.Airbags.Electric Windows. Asking price is just under 5k, sounds reasonable with the warranty Anything to watch out for with these, and any opinions/alternatives?
  • Girls don't like boys 17 Jun 2003 (Forum)
Girls like cars and money, as the Good Charlotte song goes. To read this promo Nissan are doing for the Micra via the Guardian, you'd think that women had only just received the right to have a driving licence. http://www.guardian.co.uk/nissanmicra It's patronising in a way not seen since the 1970s at least.

Walking through a slightly grotty part of town yesterday and blow me parked between the Nissan Sunnys and Sierras was one of these! Never seen one before, a very very chunky thing. Good job Mark (RLBS) wasn't with me, he'd have had the cheque book out on a flash. David W
  • oil changes. 10 Jan 2002 (Forum)
How often should I change the oil in a Nissan Micra if I purchase it from new. Should I change both the oil and filter after the first 1000 miles, and then every 4500 miles which is twice the manufactorers recommendation. Is is worth waiting for the new Micra to hit the Market place, and when this year will that be please.
  • Nissan Leaf - First impressions of 2.5k Leaf 13 Sep 2025 (Forum)
But the Nissan dealer was very good, efficient, interested and helpful. The battery health is showing 11 out of 12, and the check that the dealer did showed good health as well. I’ve read on forums that you can scan the battery health using the OBD port for a variety of information, but I’m not sure what that would achieve and what I’d do with that information.
  • Ten vehicles that depreciate the slowest 20 Jul 2015 (Forum)
The Toyota FJ Cruiser is tied with number 8 on this list. It loses just 8.7% of its value in the first year. 8. Nissan Versa (tie). Like the FJ Cruiser, the Nissan Versa loses just 8.7% of its value in 12 months. 7. Scion xB. You can expect to recoup most of the cost if you change your mind and sell the Scion xB after just one year.
  • An open letter to Nissan 29 May 2007 (Forum)
. - PG ] 25th May 2007 Dear Sir/Madam It is rare that I ever feel the need to register displeasure but in this instance I feel I have no choice. After no fewer than 8 Nissan cars since 1988, following my recent experience I can categorically state you have lost my custom for good. In buying Nissan I came to expect a level of mechanical integrity, build quality, reliability and in turn a dealer network capable of fixing faults when they do occur quickly efficiently and painlessly.

  • Newbie, please be gentle with me! 11 Jan 2012 (Forum)
The recent post by sirionman was very interesting, I must agree with him that owning an asian car is in my opinion a good choice. I've owned many european cars with so called character, but now drive a Nissan tino, unpopular and ugly, but surprisingly good. My previous VW's Renaults and Fiats had far more niggles and problems, whereas the Nissan just seems bullet proof, It'll be another Japanese car for me next time.
  • 2.2 dci x-trail - deisel x-trail fuel pump problem sorted. 20 Aug 2011 (Forum)
i have found a cheap and reliable way of repairing my x-trail. the symtoms were as it would suddenly go into limp mode and i would turn off the ingition and back on again and it would be fine for another few miles until it done it again. a nissan dealer told me it wa about €2000 to replace the fuel pump and it would sort out the problem. i took out the fuel pump and i looked at it closely to see how it worked and what could go wrong. on the side of the fuel pump there is a silver switch in a barrel shape held on by two small bolts and this switch is a fuel pressure switch. i found a deisel switch supplier and the switch cost me €93. when i fitted the new switch it had to be programmed by a nissan computer and that cost me €25. the problem is cured and its never happened again in over 50000 kilometers. its a lot cheaper than a whole new pump at €2000.
