1st time car buyer - should I buy this? 20 May 2007 (Forum)
Hi everyone, this is my first post so please be gentle with me :-) I've just been to look at my local Nissan dealer today as I'm looking to get a new Nissan Note 1.6SE automatic. I'm learning to drive but hopefully will be taking my test soon and want to get a car now so I can practice in it. The dealer has an ex-demonstrator model available with the spec I want, metallic paint (which I wasn't too bothered about). -

Barsgain of the day? 1 Jul 2025 (Forum)
11 bar Nissan Leaf with excellent Mot history. Very sensible second motor for circa £2,500 I think. Very tempted myself, but current direction of thought is that I’m going to buy SWMBO’s Leaf when she upgrades this year or early next. -
Renault Captur - DPF Regen 10 Oct 2020 (Forum)
Has anyone here any current or recent experience of running a Renault/Nissan with a DPF equipped 1.5dci? It’s a fifth injector set up, so regen diesel injection can’t dilute the engine oil, and I’m looking for real world experience of the frequency of regenerations. -

Nissan Pathfinder 2.2 TDI 2005 plate - Head or Head gasket gone less than 3 months... 13 Jun 2018 (Forum)
So… here I am again looking for advice from the HJ community. My Nissan Pathfinder needed a replacement head gasket in summer last year. Fast forward to Feb, and the head cracked. The garage that the car was at offered me two options: 1 – have the cylinders bored out, fit oversized pistons, and a new head gasket. 2 – fit a different block and cylinder head that had been sourced by the garage, and checked. -
Nissan Juke Suzuki Vitara - New Car Time. Juke or Vitara 23 Oct 2017 (Forum)
No need to think about why car was sold. Get full 3 years warranty. Looking to keep the car long term. I,m wondering if the Nissan 1.2 engine with turbo is likely to be reliable or the 1.6 non turbo Vitara might be a better bet. There are some good PCP deals on Micra's. I, have aways bought cars cash before. Am I correct that with a PCP I can opt to either buy or return the car after the set period. -

Nissan Micra - Pavement Surfing - Yet Another Near Miss ! 16 Jun 2014 (Forum)
In response to a vehicle coming towards us, moving into the centre of the road to turn into Asquith Gardens on the Rayleigh Road in Thundersley, the driver of a silver Nissan Micra Reg No EF05 E?N, mounted the pavement, as we were walking back with bags of shopping from our local supermarket. He proceeded to drive around the nearside of the turning vehicle and drove towards us at 30 mph + with his two nearside wheels on the pavement . -
Nissan Micra (2003) - Misfiring on start up 25 Sep 2010 (Forum)
Hello, I have a Micra (2003) and this year since March (1 week after new clutch fitted) my car has started to misfire and the maintanence light has come on on the dash, and i'm at a loss as to the cause. I have so far had it tested at Nissan and they said the Dignostic code related to air box seals. ( i was very unhappy with them as they also said my head gasket had gone when it hadn't so didn't get work done there or trust in what they said). -
Nissan Qashqai (2007 - ) - good choice-opinions/alternives please 19 Feb 2009 (Forum)
I seem to be the only person I've met who things the Honda FR-v is quite attractive, and I also like the look of the Nissan Qashqui. Ultimately though looks are not as important as practicality. I'm looking to buy second hand and keep for a long time. I live very rurally (I think it was probably the pot holes that have done for the puma) and do a mixture of motorway driving and very rural roads. -
England (actually Sunderland) beats Italy 12 May 2013 (Forum)
Last year Nissan, Sunderland, produced more cars than the whole of Italy. We do produce some of the world's most reliable cars, unlike the 1970s/80s. British workers have the skills, with the right product and management, to make the reliable and well built cars. :)
