  • Ford Focus 51 plate 1600 auto 130,000 miles - Focus electrical problems is it terminal ? 22 Jan 2012 (Forum)
I have booster pack that will not start the car fully charged when in this condition but it will normally start with jump leads from another car but start like it has a low battery. As soon as you connect a running car you get all the normal ignition lights. It happened again today, and today I noticed that a relay in the auxillary relay box in the engine unit was also clicking rapidly.

  • Renault Clio II (2001 - 2007) - 02 1.2 Starts then wont start 14 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Almost every sensor has been replaced in the last year by Renault, new crank sense loom, metal crash box removed, new coil and leads, relays by the battery checked and terminals cleaned, (although it will run from cold and can be restarted when hot) Its almost as if something that energises the coil, cuts out after ign is turned off and is failing to switch on again after its been run...

  • Volkswagen Golf III (1992 - 1997) - 97 1.6 car does not start in the wet... 2 Dec 2009 (Forum)
Initially the starter motor gave up so I reconditioned it - end of probs (so I thought) once the cold/wet weather began the car struggled to start but once it had then it was ok for the rest of the day. I duly replaced the coil-pack, HT leads, plugs, dizzy cap and rotor (there was evidence of arcking on the rotor and 2 of the HT leads) I still endured the non start on cold/wet days ( in the dry no problems...) I had the battery checked by a well-known motor accessory store it showed that the battery was at 13.5 volts but only 47% starting capacity.

  • Four legged rather than 4 wheel drives - Horses plus accidents 10 Feb 2024 (Forum)
However I do not approve of riderless horses or ponies being led on a rein; it is tricky enough to control one horse, but they should not be holding or controlling riderless horse/pony. Even more so when leading 2,3 or 4 others. This should be made illegal. I wonder how they would come off if an accident occurs as they are very definitely not in control. Are they insured for such events?
