  Quick straw poll please - given fixed budget and a 13-year old (1.6 Nissan petrol) engine that has clocked well in excess of 100K would you think it better to make frequent changes of cheap oil or less-frequent changes of good oil?

  I have bought in the past on Honest Johns recommendation a Nissan Cherry, (£400 6 years)and a VW Golf (£900 7 years). The Golf was running OK but It has been hit from behind. Now I need a replacement hatchback up to 1.6Ltr £1000 maximum.

  Mine has fallen off and will not reglue in place, the very cheap replacements are no good they keep falling off. Can anyone recommend a suitable long lasting interior mirror. The car is a Nissan Primera 2000 model. Halfords can only offer a suction securing device. Many thanks.

  Budget is £1K, needs to be easy to sell on with no hassle (i will be selling), reliability essential. I am thinking Nissan Almera approx 1998 or Citroen Xsara. Any thoughts/suggestions welcome.

  I am thinking of buying a secondhand Nissan Almera 2.2 Di Sport or a later 2.2 DCi SVE/SXE. Can anyone tell me if these are chain-cam or belt-cam engines? I believe the 1.8 petrols sold at the same time were chain-cams.
