Ford Puma - Ford warranty advice please 5 Mar 2025 (Forum)
Before I take this further I was wondering if this is something likely to be covered under the three year ford warranty (if a problem is identified) the car has only done 13000 miles. Like a Wally I can’t find any of the paperwork when I bought the car and would just like a heads up before I call the garage. I know this is a little general but has anyone got any info on the ford warranty side of things and if there is an issue how likely it would be covered? -
Hyundai i10 SE 2015 - Burning oil problems claiming on warranty 30 Jul 2019 (Forum)
Luckily my garage is great and have written letters confirming what oil they use etc, given all the detailed invoices. I think although you can take car elsewhere for servicing they set the bar so high in terms of evidence you stand no chance of keeping warranty. Its even down to what make of screenwash used? -
Yaris - A full service on car which only run 1000 miles? 14 Nov 2011 (Forum)
I have a Toyota Yaris from brand new in Dec 2009, I hardly use it and only run less 5000 miles so far. My dilemma is, under Toyota warranty term, it need to have full services at 24 months, otherwise the warranty will be invalid. When l did the Interim Service on 1st year, it only run about 4000 miles. -

My son (22) has just changed cars, he's been saving hard for years to treat himself. He bought a manufacturer-approved used model, registered 1st September 2018 with 13K miles, balance of manufacturer's warranty remaining, free roadside / breakdown cover for the duration of the warranty etc. -
Garage Issue 18 Nov 2005 (Forum)
Hope someone can help us out here. A friend bought an MG Rover 1.8 two weeks ago from a garage, which I won't name. This morning, the clutch went. Warranty was taken with the car as it is a Rover! Call the garage, but the guy there has just said that the warranty doesn't cover clutch breakages. -
Audi A6 - AA warranty 13 Nov 2013 (Forum)
Any way I ended up paying for the repair as it was the cheapest option, but it was only then that I found out they had used inferior factory repro parts in the car and not genuine Audi parts. The total bill was just around £300, that was for the parts and labour , bearing in mind they have to strip all the front down and get the old fan out and replace it. -

Limits of Warranty? 5 Feb 2007 (Forum)
I'd be interested in others BR'ers opinion on a warranty claim I'm currently pursuing. (sorry, this is a bit long!) I've had a niggly problem with the automatic shift smoothness on my c270 cdi since I bought it under approved used warranty from a Mercedes dealer last year. -

PCP? 6 Mar 2021 (Forum)
Hi For the past 5yrs i have been saving for a car and in the next 10 months will be have saved £11,500 to use on the car but am unsure which path to go down , i have been told to go down the PCP route as many of my family have a car this way and the idea of it appeals to me but there is one thing i dont get and that at the end you have 3 options the option i would choose is to excange it but im not sure if my understanding is correct , my understanding is that if you choose to go into another car then they use the OFP to put down on a new car so the car im looking at has a OFP of £15k so my understanding is they use the OFP of £15k onto your next car. -

Legally where do I stand with the following: -Making the warranty company foot the bill. -Failing this the car is only 10 weeks old making the dealership pay for the repair. -Does it help/affect things that the car is on Car finance as I know paying with credit can sometime matter. -
Citroen Berlingo van 1.6HDI - Used Citroen Van warranty problem! 25 Aug 2011 (Forum)
I complained about this the the RAC warranty deptartments senior engineer, who told me this failure was common place in all cars using my engine type and was a flaw in the basic design of the engine! They refused to honour the warranty. I went on the complain about this to the RAC OPS team who informed me the RAC warranty arm isn't really by the RAC at all - but a company called TWG, simply using the RACs identity. -

The guys been on the site for 28 years and seems to have a decent reputation. Could a lack of use (cars not been used for a month) and the fact its over due a service just be causing that? -
Hyundai i10 - Can I reject this car? 5 Sep 2011 (Forum)
I've just bought a one year old i10 from a dealer. The vehicle is very low mileage and was used by the dealer's umbrella company as a body shop courtesy car - it is literally in as new condition and everything is spot on except that the owners pack appears to have been lost. So, no service record or owners handbook means I can't get the warranty transferred and may well have problems in the future with warranty claims and/or resale. -
Warranty Woes 27 Oct 2006 (Forum)
He found that the drop links were fine and drew a blank. I then took the car to the nearest Ford franchised dealer, who reported that the original fault was a warranty repair but because I had the repair carried out before and that that repair was defective that they could not rectify the fault under warranty. -

Sale of Goods Act 5 Jan 2003 (Forum)
The warranty only has a total claim limit of 8000 pounds. Should the selling dealer be fixing these problems under his statutory obligations or can he "use up" the 3 year warranty my GF bought like this? Any advice would be appreciated.
