Aston Martin X-Pack for sale at the Silverstone Classic 4 Jul 2018 (News)
One of 78 manuals, it’s the first time the car has been offered for sale on the open market in 28 years. This X-Pack was hand-built in right-hand drive in October 1986 and was used by Aston Martin as a show car at the 1986 Earls Court motor show. Power comes from a 432bhp 5.4-litre V8, which gives the car a top speed of 160mph and a sub-six -seconds 0-60 time. -
Ex-John Surtees BMW 507 could make £2.2m 27 Mar 2018 (News)
Finished in silver grey, Surtees kept the car until he died in March 2017. He used the grand tourer extensively, often driving over the Brenner and Simplon passes on his way between Italy and England. Early on in his ownership, he contacted BMW to say it wasn’t as good as the first one he’d tried. Surtees said it ran out of breath going uphill and went downhill far too fast. -
