    A 42-year-old Volkswagen Beetle that has covered just 90km is going under the hammer at Silverstone Auctions’ Classic Race Aarhus Auction in Denmark on 28-29 May. The highly-original one-owner 1974 Volkswagen was sold to an Italian man who didn’t use it very much and by 1978 had stored it in a barn – where it sat for nearly the next four decades.

The Golf Mk7 was launched in 2013, and Volkswagen is proud of its continuous history, even if the resemblance between old and new is merely passing.
