Good drive but very unreliable

Bought this car because it has a punchy engine and I was under the impression Mazda's have good reliability. I was wrong.
Whilst the drive is good, it only drives as it should 60% of the time. Constant DPF issues and air intake problems cause it to go into limp mode often. Mazda are extremely expensive to go to for repairs as well. If I was to recommend Mazda, I'd say stay well away from the diesels. But I wouldn't recommend Mazda at all. I'm sure the cars are great from new but don't expect anything reliable beyond 3 years from them.
