Well equipped but not a restful drive

This is basically a good car but, for me, it has one major disadvantage - it is very noisy at speed and not pleasant on a long distance trip. It's almost impossible to hear a radio or even to hear a passenger speak but maybe this is unique to the Sports Nav spec.

Having said that, pretty much all other aspects of driving and ownership have been good. Economy is around 50 mpg, steering feels is sharp, the interior is well fitted and comfortable and it has an excellent infotainment system - intuitive and easy to use. No problems required garage work.

Sadly, I decided to part with my Mazda 3 because of the lack of refinement.
