Brilliant replacement for the Freelander 2

Having now completed 5000 trouble free miles with the 2.0 Discovery Sport which replaced my 6 year old Freelander 2, I can say that it is a huge improvement in most areas. Quiet, excellent ride, spacious, easy to drive and position. HSE has more technology than I actually need, but lacks for nothing.
All manufacturers make ridiculous claims for mpg returns and Land Rover is no exception. Claiming over 53mpg is frankly silly. I average 36mpg overall which is a slight improvement on the Freelander 2.2, the best I have recorded, driving like a Granny was 48.5, but the lane departure warning was useful as I had started to nod off.
Having owned two trouble free Freelanders previously I am delighted with this replacement, although reading some reviews it would appear that Halewood built vehicles still suffer from the Friday afternoon syndrome that Ford Escort drivers of the past would be familiar. Pity.
