Overall reliability

Does everything I want it to, handles beautifully, is reasonably economical and hasn't let me down.

I purchased the car from a BMW dealer with 2000 miles on the clock. It is the auto version and I am very pleased with it. I didn't want an estate that was too big, I only wanted to be able to get the dog in the back and this fits the bill. I get 45 mpg, but I have to say I live in the country so not very many journeys through built up areas. The car is very reliable, no mechanical problems, although there was an issue with the paint finish on the bonnet and front wings that the dealer sorted (at the second attempt). I like the handling and the seating position suits me just fine. Despite criticism of rear wheel drive in the snow I have found the BMW to be no problem and it coped very well in the snow of early 2010. The only thing about it that I'm not 100% certain about is the fact that it has run flat tyres. I had to replace one at 10k because of a puncture and another (rear wheel) at 15k due to wear. At c£150 each they are not cheap. The plus side is that when I had the puncture I really couldn't tell any difference in the handling. Maybe it's the way I drive, ie slowly ! Overall very pleased with the car and the service from the BMW dealer.
