Honda CR-V (2012 - 2018)
1.6i DTEC SE, AWD 5dr Auto
Poor to drive and fiddly infotainment although good in practicality.
Bought as it had the best boot of that type of SUV at the time and good automatic gearbox but it has never sat well on the road and needs to be 'driven' continuously. Tracking, tyre pressures and tyres have been checked but still the same. Therefore it is tiring to drive on a long journey and the seats are poor. Poor MPG at 34 (actual), or 37 (computer) over 1400 miles at av 37 mph. Driving c18k miles pa.
Incidentally all 4 original Good Year tyres went out of shape prematurely (between 15000 and 26000 miles) and I had 2 blow outs on motorway/duel carriageway last year (again on Good Years). Now on Michelins.
Honda dealer has been OK with the only real argument was when they said I needed a new tyre, which they quoted to replace (declined) but my local tyre dealer could find no problem with it.
Radio controls are fiddly. Prefer one big press on/off button to do volume as well (e.g. VW)
Would have bought a Tiguan but poor boot and more expensive but will consider it or its ilk such as a
Skoda next time after the politicians have decided what sort of cars we can drive in future.
