  • Are you at the leading or trailing edge? gadgets 29 Jul 2010 (Forum)
Mature firmware was the thinking behind that - with the E71`s being not on the first version, unlike the E72`s. (It`s interesting to read the Nokia support forum about alleged E72 firmware issues) Then there were the hundreds of people in Meadowhall trying to get an Iphone 4 - just as we were buying the -two years in production - E71`s.
  • Volkswagen Golf V (2004 - 2008) - 105TDi - the first 30/90 (months/k miles) 21 Mar 2008 (Forum)
Er, sorry to disappoint, but the just the exterior temperature sensor failed (replaced swiftly under warranty), and one sidelight bulb that was working intermittently. That?s it. Nothing too drastic in my opinion, although when the temp sensor?s ever more pessimistic readings finally reached ?42degC, the heater unit computer decided that whatever the interior temp may be, the incoming air surely needed to heated to max?

  • Car versus Dog - Insurance premiums 14 Aug 2023 (Forum)
It's ok but Insurance for the car is £234  fully comp, with endless years of ncb, maximun discount. The hound is insured for £3000 a year max claim and is  £540. excess is £175  + 20%.7yr old mixed breed not known for medical problems. Last year was £300 with same excesses. Have decided to selfinsure for the dog, but have not got several millions to self insure the car.
  • Suv question 20 May 2022 (Forum)
Hi, I was originally after a 2nd car but decided just getting 1 main car which would be a suv. I dont want anything pre 2011, max 90k, tempted by auto, descent mpg (40mpg plus). Im ideally after relliability and a suv that holds value. £9/£10k would be the budget with a temptation to go to 11k. My options were crv(2.2 d), sportage or ix35(1.7), tucson, vitara or sx4 scross(petrols).
