• Warming up a diesel? 11 Feb 2008 (Forum)
  I've had conflicting advice on how to correctly warm up a diesel engine. 1) change gear at around 2.2k rpm 2) change gear at around 3k rpm ... changing at 3k does make it warm up a lot quicker and even improves fuel economy but i was told not to rev too high or hard until warm. My engine hits max hp at 3.6k and drops off at 4.2k so 3k seems high to me especially as max torque has been and gone. As you can see i do care about turbo health :)

   Hi all, Thanks in advance for any help! I have had my new 'baby' a Mk2 Ford Focus 2006 Zetec Climate for a week now and have noticed two issues that are annoying me: 1. A rattle from the drivers side door, I know foci suffer with road noise and this is no real issue for me but this rattle is driving me MAD, it feels like it's coming from *in* the door and it stops if you rest your arm on the top of the door.
