Is it normal for a car to take 10 days to be delivered to a showroom?

I'm about to buy a nearly new Ford Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost 140 ST-Line from Jennings. After seeing the car on the Ford Direct site and enquiring, I was told the car wasn't at the location specified and they would call me back. I was then told the car had been located and would take 10 working days to bring to their showroom. Does this seem strange or is it common place? One other thing regarding the 30 Day Exchange; associated text specifies this can take place 'once.' If a car has been exchanged and the replacement car is faulty, can this option be used on the replacement car too?

It's common with Ford Direct that takes used Ford back from short term fleets (demo, lease, rental, etc.) then refurbishes them, then offers them to the Ford dealer chain. The 30 day exchange system cannot countermand your consumer rights so if they insist the car can only be changed once and the second car is faulty they have to take it back and refund your money: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
