hi all, just filled up a/con with gas at kwik fit, but air still no cooler so did'nt have to pay, but they did say your pump is working as it is going in and out (whatever that meens) there is a fast ticking sound from the engine on tick over and low revs but when you put your foot down a bit, you cannot hear it, the sound comes from the o/s around the belt area and only lasts for 30 secs or so, on and off, could this be the same problem.............any ideas what i can try? thank you -

Although an improved car I am disappointed by the increased tyre noise. The original car had Michelin Energy tyres, whereas the new one is fitted with Pirelli P7's. Does anyone know if there is a reason why the new car should have increased tyre noise, especially at motorway speeds, or is it just down to the Pirelli tyres? -

ford escort central locking 14 Nov 2004 (Forum)
Hi, My son's just bought a 1991 escort but it has a central locking problem. He is able to lock the doors from the outside but unable to unlock the car from the driver`s side door. Looking at previous forum Q and A's I gather worn locks or keys are the reason. He only has the one key with the car. Is it feasible to swap the passenger door lock with the driver's door lock, this would at least save him having to run around the car every time he needs to get in? -

Shameful but true. Yamaha MAX 125 There is a port right next to the lower rear suspension mounting, but no dipstick in it, and I think its probably for final drive gear oil.  Left side ! -

Hyundai Santa Fe - Max Tyre Pressure 15 Aug 2013 (Forum)
I have just had a tyre repaired and when asked how much air to put in it when finished I answered 42psi as per the sticker inside drivers door for tyre pressures. 42psi is for the rear tyres when there is a load on the car, which there will be with kids, roofbox, holiday kit and bikes on for holiday. The tyre fitter pointed out the max tyre pressure for the tyre was 44psi and so it shouldn't be be filled to 42psi as there is a chance of blow out on a long journey as the tyre heats up and pressure inside will increase. These tyres are still the originals that came with the new car. -

Would prefer max 4-5 years old, max 60,000 miles on the clock So far for the money, I like the looks of VW Jetta 1.9 or 2.0 TDi DSG (2008) or BMW 320d (2007). DSG gets good reviews but I'm put off by horror stories of failures and expensive repairs.
