Ford Fiesta (2000 - 2002) - My car is slow to accelerate - 2001 1.3 4 Sep 2007 (Forum)
I have a 2001 1.3 fiesta. I?m having problems accelerating, when I push the accelerator the engine revs as if it?s not in gear for about 5 seconds and then the car quietens downs and my speed steadily increases. I don?t have a clue about cars and have been ripped off by garages in the past; does anyone have any ideas before I take it to a garage? -
Ford Mondeo 24V V6 95 m 8 Sep 2004 (Forum)
The fuse at the back of the radio is o.k but it still won't work ! I have had a look at all the fuses in the fuse box at the front o/s under the bonnet. Is there another fuse box somewhere else ? and if so where is it !! It also, when changing gear, either up or down, holds onto the revs for 2-3 seconds before dropping like it should. -
Strong Stuff 17 Jun 2002 (Forum)
If there are vehicles with a more consistent history of appalling build quality and unreliability they certainly don't come with Land Rover price tags. Is Ford going to be the saviour? The signs appear good with Jaguar. If anyone still hankers for the pre-Ford Jag days, they obviously didn't spend enough time waiting for the AA. -

Focus and c-max rear lights 1 Jun 2006 (Forum)
The high sun (yes there was some!) was shining on to the rear of the said vehcile (in this case a c-max). The rear light cluster is the modern opaque type with a relective foil background for the coloured bulbs. The sun was shining off the foil straight in to my eyes and more importantly the indicator bulb could not be seen. -
Ford Galaxy - Ford Powershift Class Action in the UK? 10 Jul 2022 (Forum)
Led me to finding lots of complaints and issues about this gearbox and finding out about the successful class actions in USA, Australia and Canada. Ford wanted to replace my gearbox for big £'s but I have found someone, who more or less makes a living off fixing powershifts, who will repair it for a lot less than Ford wants... (he also told me he thinks there are two design faults in the gearbox... so he thinks my gearbox will break again, in time... -

Land Rover Freelander 2 (2006 - ) - Cold Start / Glowplugs 9 Jan 2010 (Forum)
To other users who have this 2.2 engine in other vehicles (Peugeot 4007 and 407, Citroen C-Crosser and various C5s and C6s, Mitsubishi Outlander 2.2, Ford S-Max and Mondeo etc.), which may have more conventional ignition keys, do the glowplugs on your car activate in cold temperatures and does the engine start OK if you ignore the glowplug warning light? -
Mondeo TDCI engine-heater fuse blows?? 24 Mar 2006 (Forum)
Even if the relays took nothing, at 12 volts that?s 62.5 amps; at 13 volts that?s 58amps. It looks tightly-sized to say the least? (1)The warranty is about to expire and the local Ford agent will ?Trace the fault? but I will have to pay if no fault is found or a wiring snag is found. -
Which Civic Auto? 16 Mar 2003 (Forum)
I am currently looking to change SWMBO ancient Concerto auto and am looking to spend 6 - 8k pounds on a 5 door Civic - the trouble is which engine? The Concerto has a 1.6 engine which works well with the autobox but a trawl through Autotrader\'s website comes up with several 1.4\'s - does anybody know if these are conventional or belt driven boxes and are as reliable as the 1.6. Have checked HJ\'s CBC breakdown but there is not much info on the 1.4. -
BP Diesel, rough running. Vauxhall Omega 15 May 2004 (Forum)
Something about a high bio-diesel content and a known problem with Ford diesels. I was fairly sceptical as I thought diesel was diesel. Anyway, I\'ve just filled up with a tank of Shell and it\'s like a completely different car. The misfire is competely gone, it\'s quicker and a lot smoother - I can hardly believe it - I\'m almost beginning to enjoy driving it once again Has anyone else out there has similar experiences with BP, Shell or other brand diesel. -

Hi all. I got in my ford fiesta 1.8D (1996 MK4) attempted to start the car recently. I waited for the glow plug light to go off and started the car. The car made that car starting sound several times and gave some gas however it did not start. -
Corrosion and customer service! 24 Feb 2006 (Forum)
The car is nearly four years old and has done 102000 miles, so it is a year and 42000 miles out of it's warranty, yes it has a 10 or 12 year perforation warranty though is certainly not perforated. So Ford hold no liability to me at all in respect of this problem other than goodwill however, no quibble, it has gone in today to have two new rear doors fitted and I have a brand spanking new (40 miles on the clock) C-Max to drive while they do it. -
