  Hi I recently bought a 2015 Ford Focus from a car dealer. During the second drive the engine warning light came on and so I was off the road for a week before I could get the car back to the dealer. The dealer said one of the spark plug coils was showing as wet and so they replaced it.

  There has been some comment on these pages regarding the availability, or otherwise of the Ford PSA 1.6 diesel in the Focus and C-Max. For info I noticed today my local dealer in Bristol has a new C-max Ghia CVT in the showroom.

  I have had a persistent problem with the battery on my C-Max going flat after about 1 week when not usyed.  The car has been to the ford dealer a few times but they have not been able to find anything wrong.  We have had a new battery fitted but this made no difference.

  I have read the discussions regarding the Ford Mondeo TDCI glow plug engine cut out issue and wonder if someone could tell me if this is happening to my c-max. It will cut out EVERY time if left to idle for say 5mins or so then as soon as the throttle is touched the engine cuts out, it has also cuts out occasionally on gear change while driving (VERY DANGEROUS!).

  .********* The problem is that my local Ford Garage don't seem very capable. The starting problem is intermittent, so I can appreciate that this might be hard to find, especially when it seems to start first time whenever they get it, but I get the impression that if Ford's software doesn't report the problem accurately, then they're stuffed.
