I've just been checking the fluid levels in my C-Max and noticed the coolant is down to the minimum mark again. It'll be the second time in a year I've had to do top it up.

Is this normal or should I get the dealer to check it out? I thought you only had to top up the coolant reservoir very rarely.

I think that if you check your handbook, it may be that the marks are not min and max but cold and hot.

Assuming you topped it up when cold on both occasions that I would be concerned thater is a small leak or perhaps a faulty header tank cap. You should not be loosing water this way. Regards Peter

Yes, I last topped it up when cold, and checked today when cold. I'll have a word with the dealer I think.

Sounds like a leak somewhere. Does the oil cap have any white on it ? Are there any signs of leakage coming up and out of the expansion tank ?
