Even Mrs B. is Plugging the Wheeler Dealers book 12 Apr 2015 (News)
No such luck these days. Right now Wheeler Dealers winter series (filmed in California for the weather) is on the Discovery channel with plenty of chances to catch up. The first show involved a gorgeous 1965 Pontiac GTO. The second, a 1949 Ford F1 pick-up left with the rat look but with Edd's extensively modified Mercury flathead V8 and conversion to a 4-speed auto. The third was Britain's most perfectly proportioned sportscar ever built, an MGA 1600 roadster. -

Curios: Triumph Lynx 9 May 2014 (News)
. In engineering terms, the Lynx was straightforward - combining much thinking from the SD1 and the TR7, and also offering an intriguing insight to what lay beneath the planned Dolomite-replacing Triumph SD2. It was based on the TR7's platform, but had its wheelbase extended by a full 12-inches, while longer passenger doors were incorporated in order to balance the side view of the car and give good access to the rear seats. Development of the Lynx was stepped up, following commencement of TR7 production in September 1974 and the Lynx was beginning to look like an appealing addition to the range, to fight cars such as the Ford Capri. -

The most common car to be traded in is the Nissan Micra, with over 200 owners now signed up to swap into a new Hyundai. Auction Prices Starting to Soften At Last 20 Sep 2004 (News)
Golf IVs are coming off the boil. A 63k mile 98S 1.6S sold for £4,000. A slightly scruffy silver 51k mile 2000X 1.9TDI 90 S estate was a blinding buy at £3,900. An 80k mile Y reg Golf GTI 1.8T sold for £6,300. And a 79k mile 2001/51 Golf V5 170 was far from silly money either at a top bid of £5,800. Need a good, fairly recent 4x4? -
Heavy Metal at Blackbushe Today 6 Sep 2004 (News)
We’ll forget the lottery winner’s Peugeot 106 Independence, possibly part-exchanged for a Boxster S, and concentrate on the 10k mile 11 month old M3 CSL SMG, a car which listed at more than £55k when new and, as far as I can remember, you had to be a licensed racing driver to get the speed limiter removed. -

New Year Auction Fever Mounts 4 Jan 2002 (News)

55 Year Old F1 Car, Bought at Historics, to Compete at Monaco this Weekend. 9 May 2016 (News)
. After occasional track appearances and changes of ownership, the car was purchased at classic car auction specialists, Historics at Brooklands, in August 2015 by former F1 team member and now Oxfordshire classic car collector and enthusiast, John Carpenter. Together with long-time friend, historic racing car preparation guru and racing driver Iain Rowley and his Nuffield-based company, Delta Motorsport, John embarked on a painstaking journey to return the car to exactly the same mechanical specification as it appeared at Kyalami, in order to fulfil the very stringent regulations of the Monaco GP organisers. -
