What`s your risk assessment on breakdown? 12 Apr 2008 (Forum)
Then time moves on, the big tool box now out of the car and an AA card carried. That seems a great deal in particular if swapping every year to get a new customer discount. But has anyone done a risk assessment on their current car? the outcome perhaps being a relatively cheap part or two carried, that could then be made available to the breakdown service if a weekend breakdown occurs. -

I know this is a well-worn path, but my breakdown cover is up for renewal. I'm currently with 'Autonational Rescue' and cover for two cars is about £85 PA. Checked with 'breakdown-direct' (link on right of page) and they quote about the same (for b/down and recovery, but excluding homestart). -

Time to renew breakdown cover 1 Apr 2014 (Forum)
Currently with the AA but notice a lot of cheaper seemingly good providers such as 'start rescue', 'QDOS', 'Driverguardian' The only reason i'm thinking of sticking to the AA is because of their 'breakdown repair cover' My car broke doen 2 months ago and an ignition coil was replaced free as I was on that policy. Nobody else seems to offer that sort of thing. For those interested in the breakdown repair cover, the things covered and excuded are here: http://www.theaa.com/breakdown-cover/breakdown-repair-cover.jsp#tabview%3Dtab2 Should I stick to the AA or cn anyone recommend me a cheaper alternative just as good? -
