Paintwork warranties 17 Jun 2006 (Forum)
I've just noticed rust bubbling up just inside the rear wheelarch of my 2002 Mazda 323. The handbook says: "You get a six or 12-year anti-perforation warranty, plus a three year unlimited mileage, paint and surface corrosion warranty". Am I right is assuming that the rust I've identified falls under the 3 year warranty unless see-through holes appear before April 2008? -

Radios in "Grey" imports 17 Aug 2005 (Forum)
The FM band only goes up to 90, there is no station identification/tracking (which means I have to retune every few miles along the road). The CD player is great with a 6 disc capacity built into the dashboard. Anyone who knows the Mazda range knows that the radio controls are part of the dashboard and the display is part of the heater display. So, anyone got any ideas about companies who could offer an upgrade? Please help a Radio 4 Addict. -
car valuation differences - Why? 12 May 2005 (Forum)
Can anyone tell me why there seems to be such a disparity between the valuations of the same model car using Parker's, AA and What Car? e.g. Mazda 323 1.5GXi 5 door hatch 2000 Jan V reg 38k miles Parkers Franchised Dealer £3555 Independ dealer £3390 Private £3080 What Car Dealer £4726 Private £4245 AA £3,895 only one value given There seems to be a large discrepancy in these values. -
Bye, bye ZT. Hello.......er what? 24 Apr 2005 (Forum)
Do dealers really think they can get away with such hard nosed business. My money is being taken elsewhere unless he knocks £500 off. Might consider a Mazda 6,, but then again.....what?? -
Are there any 'Quite Reliable' cars? 11 Jul 2004 (Forum)
I don't know if this is because cars are either very well or very badly built or because we tend to see things in very black or white terms. My Mazda 323 has had 3 faults in its 5 year life (ignition coil, clutch switch, broken bit of driver's door lock). It also has a couple of intermittent interior trim rattles. Does this make it very reliable, unreliable, or quite reliable (my view)? -
Frugal MPV 20 Jun 2004 (Forum)
Well I knew the MPG figure for my Mazda MPV (2.0 litre turbodiesel) would be be far better than my old Volvo but didn't think it would ever be this good (despite the manufacturer's claims)! Having set the odometer to zero last time I filled up and brimmed the tank again this morning after 314 miles of mixed motoring I've just calculated a figure of 42 mpg !!! -

Why no Mazda6 in Supermarkets ? 3 Jul 2003 (Forum)
Its been out over a year now and I have only ever seen 1 or 2 basic trim 1.8 cars in the supermarkets, (I want a 2.0auto) and then only once or twice. Does anyone know why the cars are not in the supermarkets yet... is Mazda deliberately restricting supply to keep the prices high ?? New avensis and accords I have seen at discount so why no 6 ? Contacted quite a few brokers and importers and they all said it was impossible to get hold of the car. -

Mazda 6 TS 2009 diesel 2.0L - Car loses power after engine warms up 1 Dec 2018 (Forum)
Hi Folks, So I bought a Mazda 6 TS 2009, 2.0L diesel about 4 months ago. Everything was working fine until about a month ago, the car started losing power while driving. It wouldn't have any boost when you put the foot down on gas, and after a few seconds it would then have boost and work fine, but then when the car slows again it takes a while for the revs to build up. -
Mazda 6 Diesel Sport 2L 2002 model - ENGINE STALLING THEN KNOCKING SOUND PLEASE HELP 17 Jan 2011 (Forum)
Hi, I have a 2002 Mazda 6 136bhp deisel sport. Its done 75000 miles with full service history and a recent cam belt change. The engine has recently failed on me and the car is now stuck on my driveway and i don't know what to do. -
help in choosing next car 3 May 2005 (Forum)
But I am concerned by some of the feedback on carsurvey.org, which has quite a few comments criticising the Honda for slipping build quality and squeaks and rattles. An alternative might be a Mazda 6, but I have seen comments on these saying the ride is harsh and they are noisy. Also, some would say they are a re-badged Ford Mondeo, so why pay more for the Mazda. Plus I will struggle to get a second hand car with leather. -

Audi S8 - What does your car say about you? 22 Aug 2011 (Forum)
I have started a new job and a car comes with it, in a fashion. I can choose any car from Chevy, Ford, Mazda, Vauxhall and Volvo ranges. I get a set amount each month for the lease of the car for 3 years and can trade up or down from that limit by as much as I want for any of the cars available i.e. the Camaro is not available but a Volvo C30 T5 is. -
Reliable car for a friend 27 Mar 2009 (Forum)
She said if one more engine management light comes on a sledgehammer will come into play! My Favorite of that list is the Mazda as it seems you can get good examples for well within her budget and the CBC has no faults of note listed for it. -
Breakdown Cover (again!) 24 May 2025 (Forum)
I’ve had their cover for a few years as it covers me in both cars (Logan and MX5) for a reasonable amount. I’ve only had to call them out once after I replaced the battery in the Mazda and couldn’t get it going (turned out to be my fault but that’s another story). I was quite happy to renew when on the payment page I noticed a cross next to the ‘cover for cars over 15 years old’.
