  • Peugot 1007 - Larger sized car with sliding driver's door 14 Jan 2011 (Forum)
I've found this list on this site of cards with sliding doors, but, except for the 1007, they are all rear doors: Peugeot 1007 Citroen Berlingo/Peugeot Partner Mazda 5 Citroen C8/Pug 807/Fiat Ulysee Kia Sedona  VW Caravelle Mercedes Viano Hyundai i80
  • Extended manufacturers' warranties 21 Aug 2010 (Forum)
I'm thinking Vauxhall, Hyundai and Kia particularly here.  Are these warranties giving owners additional protection at no extra cost or is the...

  • Shiny plastic 5 May 2002 (Forum)
We just bought a s/h Mazda that had been valeted, and the silly b's had spread that plastic 'restorer' all over the top of the dash. I don't care for shiny plastic at the best of times (it gives out the same message as shiny tyres, IMHO) but making the area under the windscreen reflective is just plain stupid.
  • Just for fun II 1 Mar 2020 (Forum)
Fairly easy question to answer for me and I don’t head in the direction most would expect. No it’s not Honda, Mazda or Toyota, though I do rate much of what Mazda in particular have done over the years. They’ve a real passion for cars with the sweet Mk I MX5, storming final RX7 Turbo and quirky Xedos from the late 80’s into the 90’s and the later post Ford era range, all of which are a pleasure to own as long as you avoid the diesels which for some reason Mazda just can’t get right.

  • Mazda MX5 (1998-2005) - 00 1.8 Intermittent misfire problem 16 Apr 2011 (Forum)
Over the last few weeks, my car sometimes starts with what sounds like only 2 cylinders firing, it idles (almost stalling) at 500 revs, has pitifully little...
  • HPI report - mileage discrepancy 12 Aug 2008 (Forum)
I've had a HPI report done on my Mazda by a dealer friend who was interested in buying it for his son. It came up with a mileage discrepancy! I've only had it since June and it was HPI clear then. Transpires the mileage of 25200 has been entered at the DVLA as 252000.

  • Honda Civic - New car questions 18 Aug 2021 (Forum)
After a brief interest in Mazda and again complete apathy from the local dealer I've decided to buy a new 1.5 Civic sport. Couple of questions as this is my first new car :   Do modern cars need running in what should I avoid doing if so ?
  • Decent small / medium auto options 17 Sep 2020 (Forum)
Hi Just considering next car, looking for a Fiesta / Clio sized auto. I realise the proper auto box are more desirable - Kia Rio for example for reliability or the Mazda 2,  has anyone any experience?  Considered the Honda Jazz but only the previous model just replaced with the brand new hybrid. Some mixed reports of the CVT in that though on how it revs and drives different to normal automatics.
  • £10K for a used car 17 Jan 2017 (Forum)
I don't know if the Yaris qualifies as a hot-hatch or not, but guess that's probably the market I'm in. I've regularly driven a 64 plate Mazda 3, bit found it really sluggish. Looking for a couple of recommendations please so I don't waste too much time trawling the showrooms! Thanks

  • Nissan Juke - Waiting lists for cars 2 Feb 2011 (Forum)
This great looking car seems to be a hit. I was surprised to find, that the cabin is as big as my current Mazda 3 Sport. Yes the boot is smaller but as it is just for the wife and I, it's a winner. Our other cars on the purchasing short list; Qashqai and ix35 are also in short supply.

  • Subaru Impreza II fl 2 - WRX Turbo or 2.0 Sport? 8 Apr 2010 (Forum)
I plan to replace my 11 year old Mazda in the next year or so.  I like Subarus and an Impreza would suit me well.  I've test driven a 2.0 sport and found it a bit lacking in torque so I'm considering the WRX, though I haven't driven one yet.
  • 3 series convertible - cleaning leather seats & fabric roofs 20 Mar 2010 (Forum)
On my old Mazda 626 I cleaned the leather upholstery with hot soapy water applied with a sponge, allowed to dry, then used autoglym Leather Care Cream. at 12 years old it did not make much difference, but on my 'new' convertible there is ingrained dirt on the leather which does not come off using this method.
  • How far you can rev the engine? 8 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Over 4000 RPM I can really feel the extra power (heard that 2nd valve kicks in at that RPM). I very rarely go to 6000 RPM level but does it damage engine anyway? I heard in Mazda RX8, you can go upto 9000 RPM but it's a different engine altogether.
