  • speed camera detector 18 Dec 2006 (Forum)
Is a GPS speed camera detector worth having? I've seen the Inforad GPS detector advertised for ~£90 but am not sure if it's worth having. Do you need radar detection to be useful? Anybody got any experience of Inforad? If so is it easy to use? Thanks
  • M4 Speed cameras 9 Dec 2005 (Forum)
On the M4 between J11 and J8/9 has anyone seen any mobile camera vans ? I saw something yesterday on a bridge between J10 and J8/9 eastbound which looked suspicious, is this just me being paranoid, or are they using these 'highway robbery' vans on this stretch ?

  • Speed cameras (hidden) 29 Aug 2001 (Forum)
Has anyone else noticed the two (at least) new/newish cameras cleverly hidden in the upright posts of the dot-matrix information signs on the eastbound M4 between jn 8/9 and the m25? I wonder what safety considerations have applied here (ha, ha!)
  • Physicist - speed camera on bend "inaccurate". 27 Jun 2008 (Forum)
"A scientist is challenging his fine for speeding, citing the laws of physics. Iain Fielden, who works at Sheffield Hallam University, was clocked travelling at 36mph in a 30mph zone by a speed camera in Huddersfield. He argues that the reading was inaccurate because the camera is located
  • These M25 new camera threads 4 Feb 2008 (Forum)
Anyone else get the feeling that the whole thing is a hoax? The messages which seem to come on a regular basis, keep talking about the "current" cameras and that in a about a weeks time will go live with lower settings. Well as of this morning there are a total of zero cameras between J12 and J15
