I am now sold on diesels after 14 months with a Xantia 1.9 turbo. I hanker after an Audi A6 2.5 diesel Avant Would I be better of with a Mercedes diesel if I were to upgrade to the "prestige" class.

  Thoroughly reliable but thoroughly ordinary, plus some quirks that make me hate an otherwise accetpable vehicle. So am considering moving to a premium make, which I'd say are Audi/Merc/BMW/Volvo, with a budget of around £10K used. This will be the most we've ever spent on a car, and I've typically had Citroens, which have been unreliable. From what I've read, an Audi A3 will suit but the field's wide open.

This resulted in a small scuff mark on the Audi bumper, which she photographed.   The other party wasn't present, so she left her contact details on the Audi and gave all the relevant details to her insurer.

  Hello guys, Today I just bought an Audi Q7 advertised as having done 25,000 (the odometer reading says over 26,000 when I checked the car).  It's looking very nice and clean which makes the 25,000 figure believeable.  However, when I got home, I checked the latest MOT in Sep 2014 and it showed the car odometer reader was 40,000 then, 35k in 2013 and 29k in 2012.

  I have recently sold my 320d e91 as it was too small for the wife, myself and two small children ( both below 2 years old......). I got hold of an Audi A6 Avant on a 57 plate 2.0 tfsi petrol instead. I had read about the assorted issues with the 2.0 tdi engine and so decided to avoid it. Now I would have liked the 2.7 tdi however this was 2k more than the car I got and I didn't think given our annual milage I could justify the extra initial outlay.

  I have read through the previous threads on the recommendations and these are the estate cars that I am interested in: Audi A4, A6 Avant estate, BMW 520 or 3 series Estate, Skoda Oktavia, VW Passat, Honda or Saab? My preference is for an Audi or BMW but I am concerned that the servicing and repair costs for these vehicles are very high.

  Just a little observation I made today. Yesterday i was cleaning a top-spec A4 estate which is about 6 months old and I have to say, Audi seems to be cheapening their interior trim somewhat these days. The leather looked no better than that which I found in a Kia and the bit of psuedo-metal plastic surrounding the gearlever looked especially cheap and nasty.

  I hope someone can give me some sound advice. The differential in an Audi 80 I recently purchased has needed rebuilding - apparently this is not an uncommon problem. I removed the gearbox/differential unit myself and gave it to a local rebuilder who assured me he would replace the diff bearings, crownwheel and pinion with genuine new Audi parts.

  Hi All, Unfortunately someone rear-ended my 7 month old A3 S-line in June of this year. They hit me at about 20mph I would say. I was able to drive the car to the Audi dealer, and the next thing I knew, it was at the "approved" Audi repairer for the region. Now this Audi repairer is allegedly one of only 20 garages that is approved to repair an R8, so they should be able to get it right.

  We have been looking for a car for my son. We’ve settle upon a 2019 Audi A3. The car is from a used car dealer not a franchise. The building and facilities look very respectable. When we performed a HPI check the vehicle is showing outstanding finance. It is described as Unit Stocking with BMW finance for a 5 month period.
