audi a6 door lock problem

audi a6 door lock problem - superjxband
This is not a good week.My passenger door lock on my 1999 A6 1.8 turbo se has stuck and i can't open the door.
When i operate the unlock button when pressed twice all the doors
open and the boot ( usually )but now all but the passenger door unlocks. The button tries to pop up but doesn't.When i try to manually pull the door lock lever the button pops up but still
the door is locked.
Has anyone else had this problem ?

Your going to have too take to bits the door pad and remove the lock etc but don't see how you can if you can't undo the door!

It may well be the link rod has slipped going to the lock unit and it just needs re attaching but if you can't undo the door to remove the pad...

ive got same car and same issue.
i cured it by giving the lock a good thump - this has happened on all four doors. i guess something is getting caught - possibly the internal foam the put in to reduce noise.
