Am I mad for not having breakdown cover? 9 Mar 2019 (Forum)
So this is prompted by a friendly argument I've had with a couple of family members. They think I'm nuts for having never had breakdown cover. I've been driving for 25+ years and in that time, despite driving some pretty ropey cars, I've broken down twice. In both cases I called up the nearest recovery firm and paid them cash to take me home or to a garage. -

Honda CR-V - Replacement / courtesy car for warranty repairs 13 Mar 2019 (Forum)
I have known people keeping courtesy cars off dealers while their car gets fixed/investigated under warranty and no insurance issues. Is this practice of a very high excess a standard practice? Or am I covered fully for driving the courtesy car as my car would be in the garage getting repaired and not on the road. -
