Which would be the most suitable car warranty to cover a 2014 Volkswagen Passat with 87,000 miles?

Can you advise me on the most suitable car warranty that would give me peace of mind for about three years (or longer) - if required and available?

The car I am looking at is a Volkswagen Passat 1.6 Blue Motion TDI 1.6 diesel estate which has 87000 miles registered (2014 Reg.) advertised from a garage for £5,995.

If you are considering a used car a good place to start is with the garage that is selling you the vehicle, but you can also look at our guide to warranties which will help you decide what works best for you: www.honestjohn.co.uk/cheap-car-warranties/

However, one thing to bear in mind is that although the mileage on this Volkswagen is low, it is approaching ten years old and the majority of warranty companies will not cover a car of this age. In addition, those companies that do offer warranties on cars of this age have added restrictions on what is covered, so you may find that your money is better spent on keeping some money to one side in case of repairs.
