  Manheim Predicts That Used Cars Will Continue to Get More Expensive 5 Mar 2010 (News)
  Manheim believes that the overall effect on the new car market over the seven year period will be a loss of around 2.5 million vehicle registrations which equates to more than an entire year’s new vehicle activity.   This is based on the average running rate of new vehicle registrations in the years immediately before 2008, against the forecasted recovery rate each year to 2014. Even by then, Manheim’s view is that the new car market may still not have recovered to the levels seen in 2006/2007.

  This rare piece of motoring heritage is estimated at over £3,000. The 1919 Austin 20 Dual Cowl Sports Tourer is believed to be the earliest running example of the model anywhere in the world. The car was built on essentially American lines, featuring a unitary engine and gearbox in a sturdy ladder chassis and was available with a variety of different styles of coachwork, from formal limousines, tourers and sporting variants to commercial vehicles.

  The law now states it is illegal to keep a vehicle taxed if it has no insurance; if your insurance runs out, you cancel it or you switch it to another vehicle, you are now legally obliged to declare your car SORN’d. Just as importantly, even if your car is MoT’d and insured, once its VED expires you must declare it SORN’d if you don’t intend re-taxing it immediately.
