Picasso- Windcreen scratches 1 Feb 2005 (Forum)
When it rains it is even worse as the wipers cannot collect all the moisture as it nestles within the scratches. Scratches are obviously caused by the wipers as they follow the arc. I've always had the car dealer serviced and agreed to changing blades when recommended etc. I never use ice scrapers. Only use autoglym glass cleaner. Resevoir always topped up with screenwash. Do you think I'm being unreasonable in trying to claim a new/repaired screen under warranty. -

Volkswagen Passat Estate, jetta, Golf, Bora - VW silence warranty customers 6 Oct 2015 (Forum)
[endif]--> In light of the recent emissions scandal, VW appear to be on lock-down in the UK. A lot of the UK media have naturally focussed their attention on Volkswagens dealings with their cars and customers. This was brought to the attention by SKY NEWS who broadcast this news report at the bottom of the following page http://www.corroding-volkswagens.com/vw-the-truth/ VW are now “Silencing” customers who have fought to get their vehicles repaired under the VW 12 yr. anti-corrosion warranty. -
BMW 330i sport auto convertible 30 Jan 2007 (Forum)
I have a copy of the reg doc. Asking price £22000 and I have offered £20k which has been accepted, but as the car is owned by the other half of one of the garage owners, this would then be a private sale with no warranty. This looks a good deal based on used prices but I admit to being a bit uneasy buying with no warranty. -

Jaguar XF - Friend buying a used car Standards Slipping 24 Jul 2015 (Forum)
A Friend is in the process of buying a used XF with 2 years of warranty from a jaguar dealer. Price was ok, and apart from requesting new mats and scuffed alloys being fixed, nothing to worry about, and specifically asked if there were any items that may need to be replaced (service items) before the next service, but asked for details of servicing and condition, and told that as discs were .2 mm above tolerance that was acceptable. -
Citroen C4 Grand Picasso - Buying our next car 16 May 2016 (Forum)
Is this really how you are supposed to buy new clean, low energy cars etc etc. It's a complete rip off. It won't be happening. So what good advice can you people give me here. I want a car no more than 12 months old, certainly in as new condition, and still warrantied by Citroen. -

Sold the old house,Got the cash.. - Don't want to give nearly 20K in tax 1 Jan 2016 (Forum)
Finally sold our old house a year after we moved, got the money, thinking of the car I would really really like, and decided not to, mostly because of the amount of vat on the sale, and the huge depreciation on the car i was thinking of. So Plan B or C, buy myself something a bit different, lookswise but used and with a warranty or outright cheap and take the risk.. -

Passat Groans 28 Jul 2002 (Forum)

Citroen C3 2006 - Engine warming lamp - Anti Pollusion Fault 31 Jan 2013 (Forum)
I phoned same garage to get this looked at again and they're saying £90 minimum to have it looked at, if it's same problem it will be free else it will be the £90 + repair. The car does have a Select used warranty on it which should cover engine issues (although software updates are not in warranty) Can't help but feel a bit out of pocket here and the £50 software update 'fix' was just throwing money away for me to only come back and pay them more.
