X reg Clio 1.6 Initiale 5 dr 47k miles FSH 12 monts warranty £3495 main dealer Y reg Fiesta 1.25 Freestyle 5 dr 58k miles FSH 3 months warranty £2495 local dealer X reg 306 1.9L D 5 dr 65k miles FSH 3 months warranty £2995 local dealer All in very good condition.

  In the end they found the guy who sold me the warranty and he was told to phone VW to sort it out. I was then told I could only have a 1yr warranty at a cost of £440 and that they would refund £220. After a few minutes refelection and reading the warranty publicity booklet I asked to see a price list for the warranty and was told that that what VW have told us to charge £440, a bit of pushing and a price list was presented showing £440 is a two year and 60k warranty not a 1yr unlimited.

  I purchased a used VW Golf MK6 from VW dealer - White Rose Petersfield in Dec 2015. When purchasing the car, I questioned the duration of the Das Welt Auto Warranty included as I was under the impression it was a 2 year warranty.

  Hello all, Purchased an "Approved Used" car from a main dealer The dealer mis-sold service history and warranty Promised FSH but car has partial history with 6 years history missing. Warranty is invalid as the condition for warranty needs car to have service done annually.

  I guess this is a yes or no answer, and I rather expect it to have been done to death already. Apologies, could not find it. Bought a used car 24th May. Today suspect an expensive problem. I am within six months, just. When the car was bought, the dealer mentioned (and kept mentioning) that his warranty was for six months or six thousand miles, whichever comes first.

  I purchased an used Skoda Octavia Estate 58 plate from an approved Skoda garage in September 2014. Part of that purchase was a service and MOT contract (and as it trasnpires alongside this was a 1 year warranty on the car) The car developed issues with its air conditioning during the summer of 2015, I took it into the dealer who service and re gassed, and it worked fine for a couple of weeks before stopping working again, when I took the car in for its MOT shortly after I asked them to have another look at the air conditioning, they did, stating the compressor was broken, and told me it would be £1234 to repair.
• BMW X5 - Comprehensive warranty 14 Jun 2013 (Forum)
  I have a BMW X5 3.0 diesel, just coming up to its fifth birthday. I got a quote for BMW Insured Warranty Comprehehsive cover for next year, and it quoted £926.71 for a year with £100 excess for a car with 50,000 miles, but said to log in to the BMW warranty site for an exact quote. I did, and entered my mileage which is 68,355.
• Renault Megane II - Denied Warranty 10 Oct 2010 (Forum)
  Our renault megane hatch has done 13,000 miles in just under 3 years.  There is a howling noise from the gearbox when the car moves off, especially on an incline. The warranty expires 23.10.10. The local renault agent has diagnosed that it is a "squawking clutch" and that it won't let us down.  It is caused by doing too few miles.

    I would maintain that using components and unapproved fitters represents unfair contract terms and contradicts the expectation of an insurance policy to restore the insured to the position they were in before the claim; especially where the insurer’s preferred resolution of a claim reduces the car's safety features and invalidates the car manufacturer’s warranty.

  what were they thinking of recommending a used Land Rover Discovery to somebody looking for a family car, are they mad! I hope the warranty they managed to haggle is *very* comprehensive....
• Suzuki Ignis II (2003 - 2007) - Goodwill after warranty expires 23 Sep 2008 (Forum)
  It can't be due to misuse as I am used to using my A/C all year round at least once a week. Car is obviously out of warranty but it annoys me as these things should not have happened. Could be in the 100's. I have a good mind to write to Suzuki to claim some goodwill on their part on the A/C at least (obviously it is too late for the back box).

  Anybody got experience of extended warranty claims on used cars? Briefly - Omega V6 oil cooler failure results in oil slowly being pumped into cooling system - oil consumption not noticeably high. Finally the temperature starts to read high, at which point the header tank is checked and contains milky gunge.

  Hi Folks Just wondering what the forum thinks about repair warranties for used cars. I've had a warranty since about 2008, covering first a Meriva and then my current car, an 07 Focus that I bought in 2010. The warranty costs 21 quid a month, the excess on any claim is 50 quid and I've claimed once in seven years for a new coil on the Meriva.

    Hence they only paid £300 (2 weeks later) leaving me with £500 bill.  Would NEVER use these people (or any other warranty company) again - just try to get some extra money off the car & sort any problems yourself.  Should rename it AA Half-a-Star Warranty - they are little short of con men.

  Hi, I wondered if I might be able to get some advice on buying a used car that is a couple of years old. I am looking to buy a used car for about 15k that is couple of years old and has less than 30k mileage, ideally it will have less than 20k.

  In January this year I bought an approved used Mazda MPV 2.0TD through a Mazda dealer for £5000 which came with a years Mazda Zoom Zoom Plus (ZZ+) warranty. When I bought the car she had covered just over 52000 miles. In order to qualify as a used approved Mazda it had to have Full Service History and pass a rigorous inspection.
