  I am open to non-Japanese cars if they're just as reliable/cheap to run. So far I have the Mazda 2 and Honda Jazz on my list. The Honda Civic, I'm not too keen on the supposed poor rear view, and it does err on the larger side. The Jazz I honestly don't care if it's seen as an old person car if it's responsive and nippy then I'd be happy, but I hear the ride isn't the most comfortable?

  Hi, we have a 55 reg Mazda 5 MPV in which the engine 'died' back in 2014 (failed MOT because of emissions, 2 different mechanics confirmed oil burning problems and needed rebuilding or replacing or scrapping). It has languished on the drive ever since.

  Wonder if anyone can help diagnose a problem I'm having with my Mazda 6, it's a 2006 Mk1 (facelift) 2.0 petrol auto (147PS model). When the car is first started in the morning, it starts fine then the engine cuts out the first time I slow down sufficiently to either take a sharp bend or come to a halt.

  It seemed as if the handbrake was on so I locked and unlocked handbrake few times but without any luck. To top it all I forgot my badminton kit in Vectra because then I had to bring Mazda to work. I had a bad start to the day today. :(

  Hi all, I posted this on the Mazda Forum but did not get a response, so hopefully I can get some answers on here. I'm new to this Forum and apologise in advance if my post is too long or in anyway boring. On Monday of last week I had a 3 year service, Mazda Infotainment update and safety recall inspection carried out by my local Mazda Dealer on my 2016 CX-5 with 35k on the clock, all seemed to be OK and I took out a service plan with them.

  Dear all, It's a sad little tale. Got our new Mazda 323F 1.8SE (2001 Y) just after christmas. Nice car, 70k miles, all working, really liked it. From a dealer in Maidstone, gave us a cracking trade in for Mrs APM's MX5, although we did pay a little over the odds (£3400).

  However, I've read a few comments on here implying that MINIs are unreliable. Is that the case? It would be reassuring if it was, as hopefully the Mazda won't give me much trouble (famous last words!). If it isn't, I probably won't be changing in the immediate future, but scouring Autotrader passes the time quite nicely :)
