Fiat Panda - Parking with the front wheels straight - or not? 3 Jan 2014 (Forum)
Hi all I tend to park the Panda and the other car, an old Honda Shuttle, by reversing into a car park space and by the time the car is straight, the wheels tend to be at an angle. I wonder, does leaving a car like this all day/night put any strain on driveshafts, rubber boots, grommets, suspension parts, etc. ?? -
Vag 1.6 tdi overheat 27 Dec 2020 (Forum)
I let it cool down and checked the coolant, it was still at the correct level and no visbile leaks/contamiination. There was plenty of heat coming through the vents when I turned the car off. I went out a small drive, but when I come to a steep hill where I live it started to rise up over 90. Again no cold air coming through when heatears are on full. -

Ford Focus 1.6 Fuel Consumption 7 Nov 2010 (Forum)
I have had a 1.6 petrol Ford Focus since September (brand new). I find the fuel consumption fairly heavy on this car: It's just reached 5000 miles and it's still only returning just under 30 mpg at best. It's got Leather heated seats and Air con etc: But even if it's driven gently with all of the electric gooodies switched off, it's still quite thirsty! -
Mercedes Benz E-Class W124 (1985 - 2000) - 1992 2.3 Oil in the Coolant Reservoir 4 May 2008 (Forum)
Hi Went to look at a W124 Mercedes 1992 150000 Miles Had a look around the engine before starting the Car their appeared to be Oil in the Coolant It's kind of Dark brown but hard to tell the exact color was wondering if this could be ATF fluid as the Temp gauge seems normal with the engine running. If it's the heat Exchanger in the Rad leaking Fluid in to the Coolant is it an easy Job to Fix always supposing I can get the parts. -
1998 Scenic dti - Misting Up 21 Jan 2004 (Forum)
The wife's Scenic has started to mist up badly on recent mornings. Turns out the passenger footwell is very damp (recurring). I've seen threads relating to other cars with similar problems so have checked some basics...it's not losing water, the heating is fine (so I assume not a matrix leak) so I'm assuming a leaking vent or blocked drainplug. Before I start ripping carpets out has anyone come across this in a Scenic or are there some specific places to look for a leak/blockage? -
PEUGEOT 406 Hdi 90 HP - FRONT SUSPENSION STRUTS & COIL SPRINGS 27 Aug 2010 (Forum)
Hello, would be grateful for an opinion. Whilst on holiday with my car a 2003 Peugeot 406 hdi 90hp, the passenger side front suspension collapsed. I had a local garage fit new coil springs & struts/shock absorbers on both sides of the car. There is now a very noticeable gap between the top of the front tyres and the wheel arch, about 4 inches on the off side & 4.5 inches on the near side of the car. -
All fuels - Car fire in Liverpool multi story car park 5 Jan 2018 (Forum)
The massive loss of 1400 vehicles in last nights fire in Liverpool reminds me of the car fire we had on our car park at work. A faulty electrical repair on a Cavalier caused the car to self ignite and being petrol it spread rapidly to the next petrol car. And so on until four cars were destroyed. -

Brake disc lipped Hi, I had a car service back in Dec 2021 & I had been informed that the front brake disc is 70% lipped. My next MOT would be in mid July 2022. Would the brake disc in the video above fail my test? -
Ford Focus - Front brake discs 29 Apr 2014 (Forum)
Hi, I've been told that the front discs on my Ford Focus are fine on the outside but are getting worn on the inside surface (i.e facing inwards towards the car rather than the face you can normally see). There did seem to be some lipping on this internal face. -
Toyota Celica (2000 - 2007) - 03 1.8 Front brake judder 19 Jan 2009 (Forum)

Volvo S60 (2000 - 2009) - 05 2.4 Wheels and balancing 11 Dec 2008 (Forum)
The alloys have some weights on them. Am I better putting the wheels with the least weights on the front or rear axle of a FWD car or, does it make no difference ? My thoughts are put the lower weights on the front as they are the better manufactured wheels in theory and the fronts have all the work to do. -

Hi I've got a volvo S80 which is FWD. A car supermarket 11 Aug 2008 (Forum)
This is the strange bit. They would not give a trade in for her old car or a price to change. Instead the salesman produced a form headed "Customer Proposal". It had the windscreen price of the new car and he asked her to fill in "what you think your car is worth" , sign the form agreeing a deal and pay a deposit. -
