Car dumping 20 Mar 2003 (Forum)
The quality of dumped cars in East Anglia is improving. Over the last couple of days, have seen a dark green L-reg Mondeo estate, a lovely old Mercedes 230CE coupe, a Renault Clio and a late eighties Jaguar XJ6, all obviously dumped and with bits missing. -

Suzuki Wagon R - Stability 15 Sep 2011 (Forum)
Daughter had to take extreme avoiding action on the A1 this week, and her little green Suzuki fell over on its side. Is there a known stability problem with these cars (and by extrapolation the old shape Vauxhall Agila)? -

Citroen - DS 17 Dec 2008 (Forum)
All this discussion about old cars has made me nostalgic for these. Have had several Citroens - in my view the 'quirkier' the better (apart from the XM). But the DS - should I? Could I? Buy one and afford to run it that is. -

Am I correct in thinking that to qualify for the 3 year Warranty, the car must be serviced at a Renault garage? Looking at buying one approx 2 years old. Thanks. -

Old man with a mission, but no hat 24 Oct 2009 (Forum)
Yet once I was past, I saw at the next village he was back to driving at 20 with a queue behind him. I have seen other examples of this behaviour. Once I was deliberately baulked by an old man who indicated right whenever I tried to overtake. I don't mind old men in hats in comparison to this kind. -
na - Driving a car without insurance on the vehicle? 2 Aug 2010 (Forum)
I'm about to buy another car, so my previous will sit on the drive until it gets sold. The insurance will be transfered to my new car and the old one now uninsured. For arguments sake I'm unable to sell the car for a while and I need to get it MOT'd. -
Additional security on new cars 20 Oct 2007 (Forum)
Do you use additional security on your brand new car? I am referring to cars which are less than 5 years old. These cars tend to be fitted with immobiliser and code transmitter in the key fob which makes it hard to hot-wire a car. Just wonder if anyone use stoplok etc. -
Company Car Tax on used cars 11 Jan 2007 (Forum)
My boss is thinking of buying me a car outright instead of via contract hire. If he buys a car over, say, 3 years old, does my tax liability change ? If not, then presumably it is based on the current list value &co2 rating. But what if the car is no longer made - what list price do I use ? -
Insurer won't cover courtesy car 17 Apr 2006 (Forum)
My insurers refused to cover a Citroen C3 courtesy car while my car is being serviced because the courtesy car is expensive!! They won't cover a courtesy car that is more valuable then your own car! Well then, my just over 3 year old C5 is then worthless and I can't be trusted with a nearly new supermini!. -
Honda CR-V - Replacing suspension 27 Sep 2024 (Forum)
Spoke with the wife about it, and she is not really happy to go with it, as she think in such old car there would be something another to fix sooner or later and the car could finish in sc*** yard due to overall corrosion issue or if something major brake, so she think putting £500 for new suspension is not wise or worthy. -
Family Car - XC90 or Discovery Sport 17 Jul 2024 (Forum)
Hi all, Apologies for the long first post but have been reading through the forum and found lots of really great content. My wife and I have a 2 year old, 1 year old with another on the way. We now need a larger car and have been sopping the market for the past month. We narrowed it down to X5, VW All Space, XC90 and Discovery Sport of cars we liked within our budget.
