  Have a 2001 Ford Mondeo Diesel 2.0 litre DI DuraTorq that has a near stall problem. Took it to the official Ford garage yesterday, hooked it up to the computer with no clear response.... just a "possibility" from the technician that the issue may be with the fuel lift pump attached to the fuel tank.

  I had the sediment light come on a few months back so i took off the fuel filter and drained it but didnt notice any water in the diesel. Put it back and all was fine until now. Do people think it is a bad batch of fuel i have got and this is causing the problem or?? Why would water in the filter only effect a cold engine?

  Morning Gents, Pulling my hair out with this one, any help much appreciated!!   This is mentioned in FAQ but the link to the supermarket website is defunct. So, have any more manufacturers (especially VW Group) given ther "approval" to this blended bio fuel? It is hinted elsewhere that some 100% biofuels are OK but why the problem with the 30% blend? All diesels are a 5% blend now anyway by EU edict AFAIK.

  I'm looking at new Estate versions of above as opting out of company car. Performance figures are very similar, but obviously the diesel will use less fuel, but it costs £3K more, so doesn't appear to make sense unless it's worth more on resale (prob at 3yrs, 80-90K miles). Any thoughts, anyone?
