  • Seat Altea XL - first impressions 21 Jul 2007 (Forum)
He could really do with a booster seat even though he is taller than the new regulations. Also, unlike the Scenic, there is the middle hump that runs through the floor making things less comfy for a middle passenger. Storage is limited to 2 pull down flaps under the front seats (not drawers) and the centre armrest which has a split level in it, pens etc on top and then a couple of CDs in the bottom bit.

The accident occurred about 3 a.m., the Mono County Sheriff's department said. Hubal and his friends apparently had hiked up a ski run called Stump Alley and undid some yellow foam protectors from lift towers, said Lt. Mike Donnelly of the Mammoth Lakes Police Department. The pads are used to protect skiers who might hit towers. The group apparently used the pads to slide down the ski slope and Hubal crashed into a tower.
  • Mazda 6 Tourer - Please help.. Mazda 6 2.2 diesel mpg mega issue 18 Feb 2022 (Forum)
So basically what I am saving on tax a year I am spending more than at the pump and at this rate I will not be able to run the car. The dealer I purchased it from kindly paid to have a diagnostic carried out at a mazda dealer. After being in for a full day, changing the seller of the vehicle 170pounds for the privilege, mazda claimed they had fixed the issue.
  • Citroen Berlingo First Van 1.4 Petrol 2009 - 1.4 Berlingo Van Steering Knock & Tracking Issues 15 Mar 2014 (Forum)
Currently, on motorways when power on it's much better as if the thrust pulls steering into line but when powering off, though the steering wants to go straight and is dead straight, there's still this pull from the /n/s/f and a dipping sensation   - almost like the n/s/f tyre is running on its edge - if you get me. Again, currently, if I move from standstill the steering still seems loose but seems more solid the higher the speed - less loose that is. At speeds over 30-40 mph on corners, especially uneven roads and chamber changes the steering fights back after the steering wheel is turned more than 20 degrees.
  • My first 6 weeks with a 520d 15 Jul 2012 (Forum)
My car is SE specification with no options other than an 8 speed automatic gearbox. It has standard 17 inch wheels and run flat tyres (no spare). Exterior colour of blue and a beige leather interior. I do circa 30,000 miles a year so comfort is my priority but I do drive ‘swiftly’ so do expect a car to handle on the B roads as well as the motorways.
  • Any - Dealers, vehicle checks and Fraudulent Conversion 28 Jan 2011 (Forum)
The vendor flagged up that it was HPI clear in the ad and even ran an image of a certificate from the RAC branded version. The trader viewed the car and agreed to purchase subject to running his own HPI check which he did that day. It came back clear and he paid for it and collected the following day. The car was sold shortly after for a modest profit, customer delighted. That was in March 2010.
  • BMW 3-Series E91 Touring (2005 - ) - 320d : ownership report 16 Jun 2009 (Forum)
s not at all an unpleasant noise. The drive: Steering nicely weighted, decent feel. The low-profile run-flats are sensitive to road surface irregularities; sometimes you have to work at keeping the car on course. This is a bit of a disappointment, although I found this less of an issue on roads in France and Belgium than in the UK.
  • SPECS Camera Flaw 19 Oct 2006 (Forum)
Fourteen of the sites are permanent while another 13 are temporary at road works, where their presence has mushroomed in recent years. Sites that run for longer distances cost more because they need more cameras. They include permanent cameras around Nottingham, a 20mph zone around Tower Bridge in London, the M8 between Edinburgh and Glasgow, and at roadworks on the M6 in the West Midlands, the M25, the A1(M) and the M1 in Hertfordshire, the A2 in Kent, and the M56 in Cheshire.
  • Roadtest : Avantime 20 Jul 2002 (Forum)
The high sitting position of the car gives excellent views over hedges much like a 4x4 but without the horrible handling of a typical school run off-roader. Getting comfortable was easy enough with adjustable seat/steering wheel and with the excellent visibility and overall space and the airy feel of the car, it felt truly luxurious place to be.
  • Warning for Rattle: how to do it, how not to do it 14 Feb 2010 (Forum)
I couldn't face taking the head off again and had got used to mimsing which is respectable in America, especially California. I was running out of time and money. A few days in Hollywood and back East along Route 66 with frequent pauses for breath during the long climb onto the high desert. Hitch-hikers all the way from whom I tried to bum petrol money.

It's my job to block them off. Grace's Sporty is blowing a bit of smoke when she opens it up after the over-run and I don't like the way her oil cap is loose and blowing a bit of spray over the rear brake rotor. Over-filled tank, most likely. All over her nice Guess jeans too. That's the sweeper's job, anyway, to pick up on this stuff and alert the rider.
  • Zafira 1.6 2007 - Nightmare trader/mechanics- Zafira 26 Apr 2018 (Forum)
It didnt go off and I drove it a good 70-80 miles, yeah about 80 miles and had to put 20 quid of petrol in it and the message stayed on" I asked him why he had took the car 80 miles and he said "to give it a good run and test the clutch" Now Im not a mechanic but I would have thought if a mechanic was worth his salt he would have faith in his workmanship and that a quick 5 mile round-trip / 15 minute runaround would be suffice to test all of the gears?
  • Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 diesel - First 5 months of ownership 25 Feb 2012 (Forum)
I haven't noticed any smoke and if the dpf has regenerated I've missed it but I do a lot of motorway runs and little town driving. I've towed a 750kg trailer almost fully loaded several times and that was hassle free and helped by the self levelling suspension that comes as standard with the 7 seater.
  • BMW 5-Series E61 Touring (2004 - ) - 25,000km report BMW 530d 9 Jun 2009 (Forum)
When I picked up the car 5 months ago I noticed a few things had changed since the previous one left the Munich factory. When you unlock the car, the rear LED lights and front day running lights as well as LEDs under the door mirrors illuminate slowly and elegantly. The resulting light show is very impressive. Less impressively, BMW has replaced the traditional key with a heavy piece of plastic which you have to put into a slot in the steering column before pressing an engine start button on the dash.
  • BMW 3-Series E90 (2005 - ) - 325D Final installment 24 Apr 2008 (Forum)
The trick is to get a puncture then drive straight to Costco and spend £250 replacing the holed tyre and the other one on the same axle. It's an economy measure. The handbook is a bit sniffy about repairing the run flats, implying that your sort will probably repair them anyway and be it on your own head. It's not that I'm prissy about it or anything. In a six acre car park I only park it so far away from harm it takes me ten minutes to walk to the store entrance.

We also both liked the styling. As long as it remains reliable, and doesn't cost a fortune to keep running, I very much look forward to this being our main family transport for the foreseeable future, and would recommend anyone looking for a practical midi-MPV to give one serious consideration.

It takes weeks to get a result and every time i phone or visit I am told that there is a very large backlog of work, and I will be notified sometime. It never was like this when the Council run it. It does appear that council services that are farmed out to contract do not work; what a waste of money!!!!. Cllr Lawley's response Thanks for your question. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems with this service.

This is very much exaggerated if cruise control is being used (as i do, as much as i can) and can see the revs going right up as high as 5000 on steeper inclines!. Not very restful or soothing on a longer run, as i'd found out a few times since youngest offspring is now in Glasgow (we are in Northern Aberdeenshire). Seating: The seats themselves, i found very comfortable, but i struggled to maintain comfort on the aforementioned longer journeys due to the actual position.
  • Subaru Forester - First 2 months and 2,000 miles of ownership 27 Aug 2020 (Forum)
Like most petrol cars you need to use the revs to get the most out of it, but for a 2.0 150bhp 4x4 and compared to Subarus of old I am more than happy with the mpg. It does mid 30s to 40 on a decent urban run and on motorway trips mid 40s. In the mile after mile of 50mph stretches currently on motorways it will do mid 50s. Lots of cubby holes for bits and pieces. The rear luggage cover can be stowed under the boot floor.
