  Hi everyone, I am in a huge dispute with Mazda, my solicitor advised me 5 months back to immediately stop my payments to the finance department & at the time i thought great! my car is useless sitting on my drive so why should i pay for it.

  really need some help here guys, my 99 fiesta has started to smoke and its looking like i am going to have to get rid soon, been looking around and quite liked the reliability i have been reading about of the mazda 626 , i am needing a bigger car as the family is growing up ,i do about 8k a year mostly daily 6-10 mile journeys plus the odd family day out , i need to know which engines are reliable 1.8/2.0 also reading hjs review he states in the bad points ( High 8 point death rate from accidents in this model.) i have looked on the ncap site but its only the newer 6 thats listed does this 8 point death rate mean the car is unsafe hence me not wanting to put my family in it ,i have only £1500 to spend , dont want another ford any ideas thanks for your help

  Then it happened a third time and the problem persisted for several miles, to the consternation of my wife who was in the car on her own at the time. The car is currently in the local Mazda dealer, whom I have no confidence in at all. I took it there on the assumption that they could plug in a computer and look up the fault, but apparently they cannot do that, and instead seem intent on replacing the engine one piece at a time until they find the broken bit.

  The manual for my Mazda 323TD advises the following procedure for using jump leads: Connect a lead from the positive terminal on the discharged battery to the positive terminal on the booster battery; then a lead from the negative terminal on the booster battery to the 'engine hanger' in the discharged car's engine bay.

  The two rear tyres on my Mazda 626 2.0 petrol were getting worn, so as I had a new (purchased by previous owner 2007) Pilot Primacy spare I decided to buy another so as to have a decent set of new rears. My local tyre dealer gave me a written quotation for one of these...I said yes...I paid & picked up last night in the pouring rain and dark, but today I saw he had fitted a Michelin 'Energy'.

  Further to my previous thread:- http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=16062 I bought a Mazda mx5 25 days ago From the day I took the car I noticed that it had a judder in the clutch As I live closer to another main dealer I took the car in They tested the car and agreed that is needed a new clutch was needed and in fact Mazda had issued a bulletin about it .I had to wait for the parts to arrive (the latest fix I was told) The did the work but before I even collected the car the workshop manager advised me that it was no better and that they were not sure what to do next and emailed mazda I found the car so awful to drive now that I have left the car at the dealer that did the repair.
